I still think the charts are irrelevant. The only one anyone is bothered about any more is the Christmas one and that's a foregone conclusion year on year.

I really don't understand why the best cover of the song didn't even seem to get mentioned let alone downloaded in this bun-fight. Is the Rufus Wainwright version not available or something? Also, I can't find an official Top 100 anywhere - anyone know if Rick made it in?

Is the idea of the Rickrolling thing to get him in the top 100? That's a low target.

The Official UK Chart Company appear to have the charts wrong... the date is correct though, so it's not that they haven't updated it yet. I think that must be last week's chart or something with this week's date on.

Er - no? He's not likely to have children, being as gay as a row of fairy lights, and even if he did, given his overall take on life I think its fair to assume he wouldn't be needing godparents for them! He does however have a most beautiful voice, and none of the other versions of that song touch me quite the way his does.

I saw the official chart hadn't been updated yet too Topher - hopefully they'll be on it soon.

Nope - my celebrity stories are 95% about people I've met through my brother knowing them - Rufus Wainwright isn't the kind of act that he would get to work with. And he hasn't made the other 5% yet! Neither has his sister Martha - she is a pretty amazing singer too.

I'll bet it's because Jeff Buckley is dead and Rufus Wainwright isn't. So Jeff's a genius who died before his time and Rufus is just some guy who did the song in Shrek.

No, he's an actor. Not a famous one. You might find his face familiar if you saw him, but you wouldn't remember his name.

I love doing that. Specially with the missus. I found out the American version of Life On Mars has Harvey Keitel playing Gene Hunt and then spent the next 10 mins trying to figure out what she may have seen him in. Given that she's never seen Bad Lieutenent it's quite hard.

He has been seen regularly in the shower in a Radox Shower Gel TV/cinema advert. But apparently (so he assured an outraged Miss Yudster at the time) he was wearing rugby shorts. I'm not sure he'd do porn - but then I'm not sure he wouldn't either!
