Is it just me who doesn't like Cheggers on the show? I don't find anything he's done funny. Even the fake advert things in the past just aren't funny, nowhere near as good as when they done by the voiceover guy as UK Bilge etc. Cheggers' voice is just annoying.

I've never found him particularly funny - I tend to skip over conversations about him now.

The pop quiz isn't that funny i really liked CPC and roy walker is much funnier than cheggers.

He's generally a bit annoying, and needs to be in small doses. Having him daily will become hard work, he's too intense.

I think Cheggers is a bit of a "Marmite" contributor, you either like him or loathe him. I've never had a problem with him TBH, he seems OTT at times but that's just him.

Give it a few weeks & I'm sure some of you will get used to him

I like Cheggers as an occasional guest, but I don't like his recorded bits in the show - the old stuff or the new stuff. I can cope with his franticness (franticity?) when it is live and spontaneous, when its recorded it just sounds fake.

When I was at school there was a group of 3 kids who formed a 'band'. They got to play in assembly a couple of times and were deemed as 'popular'. There was this other kid who hung around the three and obviously wanted to be part of this band but couldn't play/sing so he'd do things like sketch them, or design posters for them without them asking him to, just so he can be part of the group*.
That's exactly how I see Cheggers' relationship to the team.

I think the main factor for me with Cheggers is his voice. He puts on this really childish voice and I think it takes away any comedy in what Dave has written. The same material, if being delivered by Roy Walker would be funnier

I think he's been friends with them for a while, in the same vein as Andi Peters, and perhaps they just though it was a good idea. I rather liked it TBH, but remember CPC is only resting for now so if it doesn't do well it'll soon be back.

I don't blame Keith for that, though. It's just that Roy Walker was so good at the role and had built up quite a following.

On another note, loving the new jingles and cheesy songs.

I do get what you mean, yes, it's probably just people not used to the change, after all Roy appeared on & off since 2004 so it's quite a big change having someone else do the game at the end (Roy did Beep Beep Busters as well didn't he)

Ah but Jon Holmes already has Kenbrucemaster on 6 Music, of which if anyone has ever heard it is absolute bonkers, pop stars (or because it's 6 Music, indie/rock band members) answer made up and totally bizarre questions about Ken Bruce. They used to joke that they'll continue the game "until Ken Bruce's lawyers come knocking" but he's a good sport about it & even played Kenbrucemaster himself (I have that one on disc but unfortunately the Mini Disc recorder totally buggered that one up & the sound keeps dropping out fairly regularly unfortunately. )

Just realised the theme to Cheggers Pop Quiz is a very similar but legally different version of Cheggers Plays Pop. Been bugging me for ages. A great show, up there with Crack-a-Jack with Stu "stu-pot" Francis...ooh I could crush a grape!
