The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Anyone else agree?

They seem to be going to the phones a hell of a lot more than they used to. It can be OK but if it's a 12 year old or something it's just cringeworthy! I've turned off a few times because they just keep going from cringeworthy caller to caller!

Nah, its unpredictable radio, where the * do you think years and years of countless classic CPC came from.. Advertising in the papers for actors to come and 'play' the game? The fact you never know what you're going to get means it's successful, and, what with Celeb Tarzan being looong extinct now I think a little sprinkling of normos does the trick nicely. Anyway we'll see, for the time being, same with Cheggers, people have been extremely quick to poo poo new ideas.

I agree, I think some just don't like the sudden change, it's been the same for so long now (for about 4+ years, the first show is very different to what it became by 2008) that it's going to take some getting used to.

Random callers are always great because if you get a loon on there they make great Radio :D

So basically we have to deal with the normal, sensible intelligent people until a right idiot comes on and makes a tit of themselves. Fair enough.

I agree with the OP on this one, I don't like the random callers. I agree that a lot of what makes Moyles a success is basically unpredictable radio but something about allowing the idiots airtime...makes me cringe too.

If they are going to have callers into the studio it needs to be for a reason, and it needs to be sharp and funny. So far it isn't, I agree, its a bit too Mills. But give it time, let it develop. You never know.
#371292
There's a reason for that, and its nothing to do with me.

I disagree. I think the show is like a Pixar film. There are references in it that only adults will get but there's plenty of stuff that kids will enjoy too. It works on many levels either intentionally or not.

Also, some of the kids calling in can contribute on a number of levels. The kid who called in who wanted to see Chris and Dom doing push-ups, and Chris kept asking who he wanted to see doing the push-ups was hilarious!

No, I reckon you felt really dirty way before you ever knew me.

I'm not a massive fan of kids on the show except team members kids at a push. Finn (sp?) reviewing the Kaisers album was quite funny. But I don't want them to start saying a "Big Hello to Aldershot Junior School and the kids of 4B and their teacher the lovely Miss Hastie" All previous breakfast shows have done it and I hate it.

Yeah, you basically said you weren't going to bother to make the effort if I remember correctly? At least use a spell checker... you can get one in your browser with Firefox.
#371384
Yes i use firefox, i did have a spell checker installed but it gave up on me so i dont have one now and dont really have a use for one, as my spelling has improved. Now lets not turn this into a grammer and spelling thread

What?

I beg to differ.

If it has improved, it's only marginal. It's still a steaming pile of shit.
