yes!

well- we aren't in any danger. its people that live close to Mr Saddam that should be worried. Iraq are being used as a goat for alot of things. At least he didn't knock Twins down.

i can't believe i'm the only person to vote no! that is insane! i still don't see what bombing iraq will accomplish, and we don't need your pm licking our president's bum with backing this. it will be a phenomenally BAD idea!

i voted go for a pint. i reckon saddam is a bitter man. i'd rather bomb the white house personally.....

the white house is extremely dangerous right now. i'm sorta spooked after the midterm elections we had this week. a republican house, senate, and president? that just means an ultra conservative monopoly of the system. it just goes to show that americans are scared and trigger happy. i wish i could say that other parts of the world were more enlightened...

the thing is the republicans/conservaties/new labour (largely the same in my book except for Gordon our next pm) all run down the education system so we are left with a thick ignorant electorate. its genius really....

add the democrats into that mix as well. that was why the death of sen. paul wellstone was so tragic for the american public- he was one of the few liberals left in the democratic party. new labour is retarded. i can't believe i ever was wooed by their cheap and tawrdy facade. tony had the position of defying bush, but he's proven to be as spineless as the rest of the lot. too bad gordon *love of my life* brown is sullied with the rest...

With this scenario I always think World War 2.

For MONTHS whilst Hitler was rampaging all over Germany, he was constantly getting given ultimatums by other countries. He'd agree to keep to them.....then break them. They'd slap his wrist, give hime some more, he'd agree to keep to them.....and then break them.

All this extra time given by.....

World Leaders: Be a good boy now!

Hitler: Okay :)

World Leaders: Tut tut, you've been bad.....be good this time!

Hitler: okay :)

Repeat to fade......

.....gave him time to build up his army, navy and air force and continue to persecute and murder millions of innocent people.

If world leaders back then had acted like world leaders now, maybe it wouldn't have ever got as far as World War II..... :?

Just my thoughts, though.

world war II would have happened regardless...

i'm not saying sadam isn't a threat in anyway... i'm just saying that unprovoked way is not the answer. isn't it supposed to be in the charter of the un or summat?

it's nice to know so many of you are trigger happy. will you be there when the bomb goes off?

Yeah, I guess I was over-exaggerating a bit. Sorry

no need to apologise, just recognise that being anachronistic doesn't solve the situation. if we try to relate every leader that we didn't agree with, then half of the governments of the world could be likened to the nazis. the nazis were a product of their times, just as iraq, al-quaeda, and any other "terrorits organisation" is a product of its times.

bombing still is not the answer.

you know much as it may shock people i kind of agree with funky dullard. World War 2 should never have happened but people just didnt believe anything as bad as world war 1 would happen again.

if blair came out tomorrow an said we are going to war with iraq because saddam is ruthlessly murdering his own people an we have a moral duty to do something about that then i would respect it more. the only problem is there are countless places in the world where similar things are happening but we dont get involved. its the motive that bothers me.....

it depresses me when im serious it goes against all i said before. ah so sue me.....

Why thank you very much Mr Dog. I'm starting to think that beneath that cold, harsh, ruthless exterior you can actualy be quite warm, friendly and cuddly.

I'm also starting to think that you and me are turning into the next bob and hoare! God forbid!

I think maybe we shouldn't bomb iraq, but instead send in those two convicted of the washington sniper shootings, get them to take out saddam, and if they get caught and killed, what the hell....its only what's gonna happen to them anyway!

they haven't been convicted yet, and don't get me started on the death penalty. am i the only person who see the humour of trying them in virginia because they execute minors there? does that just seem silly? watch out world! america's out for [red]blood[/red]!

well i know a lot of useless information and i try to be humourous an mostly fail so i feel im somewhere in between the two while never quite reaching their heights. if bob an hoare are the boards itchy an scratchy then i like to feel we could be terrance and philip.....

Reasons we shouldn't bomb Iraq.

1( Why Iraq? There are countless other countries with brutal and dictatorial regimes. Why not bomb China?. America and toadies Britain are just picking on a small country that can't fight back.

2( Why now? Saddam hasn't let weapons inspectors in for a few years, then suddenly after September 11th Bush decides that Iraq is once again a danger. Nothing has changed between now and a few years back.

3( Escalation. The West attacking a muslim country is bound to enrage other muslims throughout the world. One of the things about Islam is that muslims always sick up for one another even if they're wrong. eg. you'll never hear a Muslim criticizing September 11th or suicide bombings etc.

Also to compare Hitler and Saddam is quite ludicrous, as Hitler was ruler of a powerful Western country with the means to take on the rest of Europe, whereas Saddam is president of an insignificant(in world terms) Middle Eastern country with no means to take on the world. Let's face it, America and Britain could wipe out most of Iraq in a few minutes if they really had to.

This is just a war based on 3 principles:
1( For George W. Bush to complete a personal triumph over Saddam, so he can finish off the job that his father did.
2( To control the oil fields.
3( To setup a puppet pro-west state in the middle East.

Does anyone else think that Tony Blair is an embarrassment to Britain? the way he just follows whatever Bush does. The Americans must really think we're muppets.

Shut up all of you. War is bad. If we go to war with Iraq, we're just as bad as the terrorists that distroyed the twin towers. Tony Blair has got his head so far up Bush's arse he can't see the problems going on in his own country. Iraq has got no means of defending itself and thousands of innocent people will die.

Terrorism - n. The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.
