Maybe they were coming in over Sesame Street? Poor taste? I haven't seen the news so I'm allowed to.

Wow, sounds quite incredible. The first I heard about it was Moyles talking about it when my radio alarm came on.

Yup, I said that purely for the childish joke.

Mr Yudster had a good moment last year when he bumped into the teacher who had him thrown out of his sixth form college (for non-attendance only, his work was up to date and his results very good) and also told him at the time "You'll never have a career in IT". The teacher is now teaching elsewhere, and when he asked Mr Y what he was up to these days, you can be sure that he answered in detail. I was there, that was a fun conversation. I hope you enjoy your equivalent with your law teacher Char, and don't have to wait 15 years to have it like Mr Y did!

That is crap isn't. Teachers should not be able to say that to people. It is really good when you can do that though. Our head of sixth form was business studies Teacher, and as I had expressed interest, well and it was quite evident, that I was going to be a capitalist pig, he asked why I hadn't chosen business studies. I told him Maths & English were best for the basics, and history teaches us about people and motivation. Most of business studies is common sense and I wouldn't need it. He chuffed and chawed and intimated I was an Arrogant twat who wouldn't amount to much. Well he was right.

Well not really.

My first wifes Dad and her brother were also sure in the late eighties that Pensions were the way to go, I told them they were crap and that property was the way to go. Again they looked at me as if I was some sort of stupid *. Property since up 400%, Pensions, well about the same if you're lucky. It's only due to my poor self esteem I suppose that I care to regail you with my stories of willy wagging (where is Foots?) but hey call it therapy.

They were all wrong I tell you. I am a worthwhile person.

I think Michael McIntyre's next on the list of folk to see live.

Seconded.

Other people's misfortune isn't often this funny. When it is, it should be celebrated!

Oooh Char, I know you have reasons to want to go to Bournemouth, but Canterbury Christ Church is a much much better uni, it really is. And Canterbury is a lot nicer than Bournemouth, which is full of nursing homes and really really old people.
