Ladbroke, I'm just playing at it as there's nothing all that wrong with me. I'm tweaking at best. But even still, it takes a great deal of discipline to change so much about your eating habits and exercise regimes, so if it's that noticable to me with my tweaking then I dread to think what it's like for you where you want to make a serious dent in it. So you have my full respect, and as foots says you should be proud of it.

You are a patronizing tit aren't you?.

Well Done

Cheers chaps! I've only just got up, so I've had to put my skimmed milk porridge down to write this!! It's been far easier than I ever imagined, although saying that I lost 5 stone in 2003 and it took 5 years to slowly pile back on. I wont be going that mad this time as I went down to 12 stone in 2003 and everybody thought I had a terminal illness!

I gained 6 stone in a year after my husband died. Kept most of it on for about five years, then enough was enough - lost five and a half stone and got fit again on about 18 months. I have a problem now in that I can't exercise at the moment through ongoing illness, but within a 7 or 8 pound tolerance I'd say I've kept my weight steady since then. It will be a lot easier when I can get back to exercising though.

I guess people eat for lots of different reasons, or as a comfort. Then you get the whole 'eat and then get angry because you've eaten a load of junk' feeling. For me I just love food, especially eating out. What annoys me is when people say 'I dont eat a lot' or 'I'm natuarlly big'. This is only true for a very small amount of fat people. If you eat less, drink less, and exercise you'll lose weight. Exercise is the key, it's just having the motivation/inclination to do it!

I love food as well and I love eating, it's an enjoyable experience... I would probably be quite depressed if I couldn't eat.

I do eat a lot of shit, but I do exercise as well, so swings and roundabouts I guess.

I do sod all excercise, unless you count walking everywhere I need to go unlike my missus who takes the car to go to the shops. I also eat whatever I like and at weekends live entirely on a diet of alcohol and coco pops.

I do count walking everywhere you need to go, if that encompasses anything significant. Walking is brilliant exercise.

I'm now walking a couple of miles a day for four days of the week due to my journey to work and back.

Sunny So Cal wrote:Wait, does swinging a ping pong paddle count as exercise?!

* right it does, particularly with the foot movement and reactions involved. Cheeky moo.

That's brilliant. I can't help but worry at just how easy it is to sign stuff without it getting checked though. I know we have chip and pin here, but a guy I was at uni with is part of a team that has spent a good amount of time proving how chip and pin is rubbish and actually less safe than signing your name. He's been on the telly about it a few times.
