Johnny 1989 wrote:I shall seek out a Ross Nobel DVD then, seeing as he seems to be popular with some on here.

BTW just seen an old HIGNFY which had Reginald D Hunter on it, he came across quite funny on that, is he any good at stand up?

Definitley check out a Ross Noble DVD, I'd reccomend 'Randomist':

Reginald D Hunter is great too, I've seen him on HIGNFY and a bit of Live At The Apollo. Not seen him in real life though.

If I can also reccomend on stand-up DVD it would be Stewart Lee's 'Stand-Up Comedian'. Intelligent, independant stand-up at its best: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stewart-Lee-Sta ... 535&sr=1-1

D'oh, didn't see that, although I agree. Brilliant show, and packed with extras (including a few other versions of the same show which are completely different)

Oh aye, I've seen Reginald D Hunter live too, he didn't sell very well so it was a freebie...most of these big name comedians I have to pay for! He was okay...his show was called 'Pride and Prejudice and Niggers' which made some people in this building very nervous! On the topic of Ross Noble's dvds, I honestly can't remember which is which...which one has the Hyde Park show as a bonus disc? That show is my favourite one of all of his.

One thing that Jimmy Carr always prides himself on is that no matter how many different tours he does, each one is always totally new material. I saw him in Bedford last year as a warm-up gig for his new tour (the one he's on at the moment) and even he said don't bother coming to see him on that tour as it will just be what we've just heard that night :D He knows people don't want to see the same thing twice so he said to wait for the next one.

That's quite unique for a comic to do that, nice to see that he does at least pre warn his audience that near future gigs will be the same (Peter Kay take note)

How unfortunate :(

Forgot to say, Jimmy did a signing after the gig aswell and he was really good. I'm sure it's the first time I'd seen him out of a suit. He chatted to everyone and seemed genuinely appreciative of everyone that went. I said it was a great show, he said "thankyou very much" then signed my programme, i shook his hand and toddled off. Some girl asked him to sign her breast, he had a good laugh about that...then did it.
