There have been many DJ duos in the history of Radio 1....Mark and Lard, Colin and Edith, Chappers and Dave to name a few. I was thinking though, if you could choose from any Radio 1 DJ, living or deceased, which two would you love to see present a show together?

I'd love to see Colin work with Peel, seeing as he took over Peel's late night slot when he passed on. Maybe even Cox and Moyles, just to see what would happen :D

What would be your perfect DJ duo?

Adam & Joe are pretty much perfect in my books. Neither of them are at Radio 1, however.

Mark and Lard were pretty much as good as it gets as far as duos are concerned.

I never liked Mark and Lard. I used to hear the end of them in the afternoon after uni and I didn't 'get' it.

It's probably cos I didn't listen to the whole thing, or for that long. They did a feature where they would play a song but the sound effect of someone scratching decks over the top of it, possibly in a sorta "westwood" pisstake. It might have been funny once, but they did the same gag every day and it spoiled the good music.

I didn't like them when I first heard them, but I think they took some listening to before you actually got used to them - they did for me anyway. They did some quality features, my favourite of which was 'London's Not Burning', but a whole plethora of others too.

There was some sort of tv show by them at one point from memory?

They are on 6music - Saturday mornings 9-12. Unfortunately they weren't around last Saturday so there is no iPlayer link available. But give them a listen this Saturday, they are great! I'd probably say Moyles comes a close second to them.

Mark and Lard for me.

Currently I'm really enjoying the Moyles / Cox handovers as well. I can imagine those two doing an excellent show together.

Mayo and Moyles. I still think Simon Mayo is probably my all time favourite dj.

Mayo and Moyles would be a great shout. I reckon Moyles would love to do that just as a one-off too.

I toyed with that idea too Yuds. I used to love Mayo. I still have a book of his confessions which used to make me cry laughing every morning.

Bobby Friction and Sara Cox. Cos Cox Friction sounds funny.

I do miss Mark and Lard. They kinda grew on me a little too late.

Using that logic, Sara Cox and Zoe Ball would be the other obvious one.

I think Munki has reached a peak with this.
