Thought I'd just make this before we get a few threads on it.

I think he's doing pretty well so far - but he seems different to his radio image.
What did you think?

Nice to see the utterly predictable backlash in the comments section of that blog.

For example:
Some idiot wrote:Support Moyles? It would take a massive crane to do that.
What a rude, horrible specimen he is. If he was made of chocolate he would eat himself

You have every right to think he is 'rude' and 'horrible'. However, if you do please save yourself the embarrassment of being a massive hypocrite in the process.

I thought that in parts he came across well, but the bit with the Community Payback was rude. If he didnt want to give a long serious answer he could at least have shown some respect for the show, Paddy O'Connel and the regular viewers by giving a quick honest opinion with a short joke but to do what he did was wrong in my opinion.

I dont think he will have won over many new fans or won many new donations with his performance tonight. I am a fan of his so overall I liked it and I know how most of it is an act with him but he does seem to lose it a bit on TV. He just doesnt seem anywhere near as natural as he does on the radio.

I was a bit surprised the people on that The One Show website thought he was serious with his mickey taking of the shows style. Thought it came across he was having a laugh. Maybe they just didnt think it was funny.

Agree completely with what you've written. It's great to see him go on tv, but it's like the radio personality is totally different to the one we see on tv.

I see what you mean. He had plenty of opportunity to come across as his normal self and make non-fans think 'you know what, he's pretty down to earth really'. Which is what I thought, and what quite a few people I know think when they hear his show.
He was funny to his fans, but I think those who don't know him that well might be put off.
I really hope his new Quiz show shows his 'radio' side.

Yeah he was brilliant on Radio 2 plugging the climb, he even said at one point "It's killing me having to be this serious" I as a fan thought it was very good, but the middle classed among them of darling Middle Britain tonight will have been spluttering on their co-coa before their bedtime.

Oh and the morons on the blog - no mention of wiping out Malaria - they just want to wipe out Moyles, if thats there priorities in life then it speaks volumes of them.

I thought he missed a chance to be a bit more genuine tonight and actualy join in with the discussions. The bit with the PE teacher was a bit rediculous, the camera was on him when he blatantly recognised his old teacher and was surprised to see him and then just denied all knowledge of knowing him after that.

He made me/us laugh because I/we know what he is like and get his humour and style. Those watching him for the first time, like those in the blog comments, I can't blame them for reacting like that.

Granted he was funny, however to me it seemed he was trying to hard to be funny all the way through which may not be appreciated by everyone. The people on the blog should however remember the reason Chris was on the show !!!

If so, please stop. If not, please try harder. And a quick run through the forum rules and posting guidelines might be a plan too.

Some on TheOneShow website thingy said the same thing but I din't think he did recognise him as I made the same face as Chris when that guy came on screen and he certainly wasn't MY P.E. teacher. The guy looked like a complete freak....he reminds me of a young Mr Burns. He just had that total P.E. teacher/pedo look about him. like in a few years he'll be wearing one of those community payback jackets. That's what I think Chris was making the face at rather than one of recognition.

I've read the comments on there, honestly most of those sad f**wits really need to get a life, it was so obvious he was "acting up"

Unfortunately there's a certain group of people in this world who are just single minded & will always slag of Moyles sadly, even hough he is doing a great thing for charity

i have too say this next bit in capitals. So please bear with me.
I just read the one show blog. WOW. WHAT UPTIGHT STUCK UP ARSE WIPES THE PEOPLE WHO WATCH THE ONE SHOW ARE.
You can defenently tell who are the moyles fans are on there. I liked the show. He was nervous. I have too agree that i don't think chris knew who the hell the p.e teacher was. I think the camera crew made a mistake keeping coming back too him when he gave the face. That
I am really appauled at some of the comments and moyles really should not get that reception.
5 points.
1. Love the joke from the bbc blog on number 67. Peace and love. peace and love. In reference too dom and ringo starr.
2. How many viewers do the one show have on a regular night. Prob 4million. Compare that too chris's 8-10 million.(take the other people who can't fill out the rajar forms.) we put probably 2 million on the figures tonight and we still pull in more listeners than they do viewers.
3. I bet nearly all the people on there haven't put a penny into comic relief.
4. No one apart from the listeners and fans know what chris does for charity. Since the breakfast show started. 3 rallyoke's and the sports relief run from dave. Chappers and chris on the final day ok chris only did it on the final day. But probably came up with the idea.
5. Again i must put this in capitals and i really hope that people on here will agree.
IF THAT IS MIDDLE CLASS BRITAIN WHO WATCHED THE ONE SHOW TONIGHT AND EACH NIGHT. THEN I AM PROUD TOO BE A LOWER CLASS BRITISH CITIZEN AND SUPPORT MOYLES, RACHAEL IN THEIR CLIMB AND THE REST FOR COMIC RELIEF.

Any other views and point 5 especially.

After reading some of the comments left on the One Show forums posted here I am so glad that I am not a viewer of that programme. Its television for Daily Mail readers clearly.
