It is awesome that we are a tiny part of something so massive Yuds. I know exactly how you feel. The pride and emotion is taking me to bursting point!

It really shows how Chris' popularity has taken off in recent years. When he was on afternoons and perhaps even into the early breakfast show years, he was the person that everyone loved to hate, probably because of an image created by the media. Now, as more and more people have taken the time to listen for themselves, that media image has been pretty much blown out of the water and a nice by-product of that is that people are willing to donate for this cause - which they also recognise as a monumental challenge in any case. Also, he started off as the underdog (though he isn't now in my opinion), what with his size and we all know how much we like to support the underdog.

Really, we tend to consider ourselves as the so-called die-hard fans on here, but actually that's not necessarily true. We are some of the die-hard fans, but when you look at the audience figures, we can't be the only die-hard fans.

Toph, you and S4 must have pissed of about 4 million new posters in here in the last three years with your insistence on proper grammar etc. All the die hard fans not on here have worked out what a bunch of anally retentive goodie goodies post on this site.

I am off to Floss.

Also, Buy one get one free, known as BOG.OFF, but surely it should be BOG.Ov ?

I noticed that this morning and thought I would share.

I know you didn't mean it that way, but I find it hard not to see that as a compliment...!

It is. I did it off the Falkirk Wheel about 18 months ago. 115 feet worth. I wasn't as worried about going over the edge as some were, I just found it difficult to get into the right position before starting the descent. But once you're in that seating position it's a doddle - and over all too quickly if you ask me.

I did it off the Avon Gorge when I was younger, and they forgot to tell me to spread my legs, hence i just slammed from side to side on the rope like one of those things you put on a Piano to keep time. It really hurt.

Wow - incredible! So the Radio 1 million has been smashed as well - by almost £100,000!

They need to make Carrie captain - Captain Carrie! - she is the only one who has played rugby to any standard beyond school. This video I am looking forward to.

I wonder if Carrie will manage to get any ringers in? Its at Harlequins, so she might well be able to get Will Carling at least. Be great if Vernon could get the Strictly connection working too and get Matt Dawson and Austin Healey. They were talking about trying to get hold of Jonny Wilkinson, but I believe he is abroad somewhere at the moment, having treatment on whatever bit of him is currently broken.

Anyway - this is a good one.

Hmm the place I work is getting a new sponsorship deal with the quinns. Keep it under your hat though. Might see if I can blah my way along. Have to get up first though.

Awesome. Radio 1 listeners raised more in an hour than non-Radio 1 listeners have raised for this at all.

The pop stars can at least claim their audience is the same as Radio 1's so there's an overlap, but where's GMTV's contribution?

I agree - how do we go from celebrating the amount raised to complaining about it so damn fast?

Was I the only one who was fooled when they said Dave wasn't going? Because he went.

Did you listen to the whole show? At the start he said he couldent and then later he said he had made plans for Nicole to be with someone else, or something like that.

If you did listen, then yeah i was fooled too!

Sorry for the double post, but I love the way Matt Fincham inadvertedly slapped Carrie's arse at the end (when she went to tackle Dave).
