I think Vernon is doing a great job.

Is it just me though, or do the rest of the team seem more relaxed and happier with Vernon instead of Moyles? Maybe it's just my imagination, but Comedy Dave definitely sounds alot different with Vernon, funnier and wittier!

I think that might be why I like Vernon, although I like Moyles too, Moyles can be quite nasty and mean sometimes in his 'radio persona' (often hiding insults by adding "I was only joking" after them) whereas Vernon is just a nice guy. I don't know, I'm probably reading too much into it all.

I agree about the team. Carrie in particular has participated more. Dave has been different, but more involved as well.

I think on Monday the whole thing sounded a bit nervy as if they were all finding their feet, but after that it has been superb. Vernon has done a cracking job. On Monday I said I wanted him to just be himself and that is exactly what he has done.

It says a lot about how much I like Moyles that I am looking forwar to him coming back despite how good Vernon has been. The past week has been a weird but great twist to the show and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

I gave it a go listening to Vernon, but I didn't listen again it because of his annoying sound effects. I couldn't believe it but they're just talking away normally, and he starts making some like train's horn (?) sound and I just thought, no way, I just got up can't be doing with that...so lead me not to listen again

I agree with you, Monday it was a bit all over the place but by Friday they were all working together splendidly, well done to the whole team.

I think the key this week has been the rest of the team stepping up. They've all been more vocal this week, and Vernon has kinda fit right in as another voice. Chris tends to be more of a leader of the team.

I'm not really a fan of Vernon's show at the weekend, but it's probably the weekend show I'm most likely to listen to. I just don't listen much at the weekend at all. But put a decent team around him and he's entertaining. That's what they did this week.

I hate to say it, but I'll be disappointed next week if the team go back into their shells when Chris returns. I think it would be a real loss.

Friday's was a really fantastic show. One that I'll remember for a long, long time - I cried 4 times!.

I can't say I'd ever opt to listen to Vernon's own show but I've been far from bored this week. The team have been absolutely fantastic.

I enjoyed last week's shows. There's obviously a huge gap between CM's radio talent and Vernon's, and the rest of the team stepped up to fill it. It worked really well. I'd still love to understand the relationship between Vernon and Aled better, can't work out if they wanted to throttle each other.

I think that Vernon has done a good job and I have enjoyed the show, for the most part. However I am currently listening to todays show and I think that it has the element of 'car crash' today, I can't wait until Chris returns.

Having said that I like Vernon, but I guess you don't realise how good something is until it's not there (as I don't listen when Scott Mills is filling in for Chris)

I had to laugh this morning I think during the 'g spot' convo when Aled mentioned needing to do the news and Vernon said 'come on Aled we're having a laugh' - Congratulations Vernon, you've adopted the Chris Moyles Show ways!!

I think he has been less vocal but that may be because Carrie has been heard more this week.

I hope carrie goes back into her box when Chris comes back and Dom pops up again out of his. I really like Doms input into the show.

I agree with both of those comments. When Chris is on I find Carrie intensely annoying, but in the past week she has really started to be herself and I like it. Having read Carrie's blog and her twitter updates she actually has a decent personality which is hidden when Moyles is in. I wonder if she is intimidated by his on air personality? It seems that way to me.

Dominic has been quieter lately and my thoughts on that are that he really connects with Chris and a lot of his comments are off the cuff and usually responses to Chris. Maybe Dom just isn't that funny or as interesting without him? I think Dom is brilliant though and is frequently hilarious when Moyles is on. Maybe Moyles just brings out the best in him and the worst in Carrie?

Overall, like others have said, I hope the team don't all go go back in their shells on Wednesday. I thing the past week has been great and there are great lessons for them all to take from it.
