The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

So, the new show starts next sunday, 10PM, so I thought it was time for a proper thread for Chris' new TV show.

According to Chris' twitter:
CHRISDJMOYLESIf you've heard Rob DJ's pub quiz.. Well it's a bit like that but with famous folk. It'll be funny don't worry!

I'm really looking forward to the new show and hoping that Chris dosent change from his radio persona.

I'm kind of nervous for him. If he stays true to himself then it should be okay. If he slips into his "TV mode" then it may be cringeworthy. I really want it to do well though May have to watch some of his old telly stuff to see just how bad he was. If only there were some place with stored video clips of his old TV shows though where I could watch them at my leisure.

I feel the same. I really hope he doesn't show his 'wacky TV personality' side and undo all the good work he did up Kilimanjaro.
I'll give it a go, but I really just want to see Chris doing what he does best - being a damn fine Radio DJ.

The Chris Moyles Show on UKTV play was terrible! Awful script, no funny material whatsoever, totally contrived. It was just diabolical. It was trying to be "wacky" and failing at that.

Chris Moyles has reportedly landed celebrity guests Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne for his new topical entertainment show Chris Moyles' Quiz Night.

According to The Mirror, the Radio 1 DJ has lined up current X Factor judge Walsh and former panellist Osbourne for the opening night of his Channel 4 programme.

"Chris is really pleased with the lineup," said an insider. "They are all big stars. If the show doesn't do well he only has himself to blame."

EastEnders legend Barbara Windsor and producer Mark Ronson are also slated to appear on the Sunday evening show, which will see Moyles pitted against Piers Morgan's Star Stories on ITV1.

Chris Moyles' Quiz Night will debut on March 29.

I think this is his last shot at making a career in TV, If channel 4 were not confident it would be a success it would be shown on E4 :)

He was good on the Friday night thingy with Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr though. Alright, it wasn't his own show, but it showed a definite improvement in his TV work.

According to the Channel Four web site (which you'd like to think is correct), it starts this Sunday.

I think is the kind of guy that is well aware when something hasn't worked and he'll be determined to make sure that the new show is a vast improvement on any past failings. Would I be right in saying that Chris was never happy with the Five show as it wasn't how he wanted it to be anyway?

He made a joke on-air this morning about people who should give up trying to make TV shows, and then turned it very quickly on himself. At least it was something like that, I can't remember for sure, it was early. In any case he certainly showed that he knew he could be seen that way too. I get the impression that he's generally very self-aware (as opposed to self-conscious).

Yeah, I noticed the music and wondered if they would be using it for the tv show. Maybe he'll end up like Parky and have that music as his music and use it on whatever show he does :D

Well its his music, not Radio 1's, so why not?

It makes good sense to use the music, they're already using the radio show as a hook for the trailer. Given the amount of crossover audience there's bound to be, it would be stupid not to.

The music was created my Music 4/Lyric by Chris but the copyright is owned by Radio 1 as they will have paid for them to be created. Chris' music also incorportates the Radio 1 logo (dun, dun, dun dun.) which is copyright Radio 1.

They will have asked permission to use it or have paid a licensing fee to the BBC to use it.

They'll have used it as people watching/listening will recogise it. It might be the theme tune of the show.

Its a good idea either way....

Are you sure about the copyright?

It depends who paid for it, etc. If BBC has paid a shed load of money for the jingles then no doubt they will have bought the copyright otherwise everybody could start using Chris' jingles or get resings of the package. But, at the moment you cant.

Pretty much. Im not 100%. It depends how the BBC gets 'em.

Most companies/stations will buy a package out 100%, if possible, so that nobody can get resings of them. They also then dont have to pay PRS on them.

I would imagine as the BBC are who they are will own the full copyright of them. Credits will then go to Music 4/Chris/Performers.

Here we go again.......

Its not speculation, its simple copyright stuff. Channel 4 eitherway will not own the copyright for it.

It IS owned by Music 4 or Radio 1.

End of. Email Music 4 if you dont believe me. I'm not about to start providing evidence on a bludy fan forum!

Well its his music, not Radio 1's, so why not?

I'd say that was 'speculation' too as its not Chris' music and you cant be sure.
