Sad as this is...I can see my house on Google Street view....my whole house and everything as if I was standing outside of it......Wish I'd known they were coming. I'd have put up a banner or something.

It's really old, the plant in my window was moved ages ago. And I've cleared all the bin bags full of garden waste away now. Took ages that did cos I could only fit one bag in every two weeks and there was about a dozen of them.

Milton Keynes isn't on it yet, only 25 cities are apparently. I can see where I used to work in London though, obviously.

I'm surprised they got out this far to be honest, I thought they would have only done the centre. I guess I'm within the M25 but I don't count myself as living in proper london.

It's only recent though because my sister's boyfriend's cars on the front and they haven't been dating long.

Making me laugh is getting a booklet from the police, it has pictures of guys that have been issued an ASBO and are not allowed in my area and if we see them we need to call the police. Never had anything like that before. All the men in the booklet are mates too.

Scores of pictures have been removed from Google's controversial new mapping application after a glut of privacy complaints.

Google have removed pictures from their new mapping application Street View Street View, launched in the UK on Thursday, allows users to access 360-degree views of roads and homes in 25 cities.

The database, which includes photographs of millions of residential addresses, people and cars, has led to concerns about privacy infringement, forcing Google to remove offending pictures.

The images removed include one of a man emerging from a sex shop in London's Soho district and another of a man being sick on the pavement outside a pub in east London.

Unveiling the project on Thursday, developers said they were keen to respect individual privacy and would "act quickly" to remove pictures deemed to breach privacy or display inappropriate content.

Sophisticated technology has been developed to automatically obscure the faces of people featured in Street View photographs, and car registration plates have been blurred, but such efforts have failed to quieten critics, with many labelling the maps voyeuristic and intrusive.

A spokeswoman for Google could not confirm the exact number of images removed but said it had been "less than expected".

The firm has also received a number of compliments about the maps, the spokeswoman said, adding: "We have had lots of people asking when we will be going to their street."

At the bottom of each photograph featured on the application is a link which users can follow to "report a concern" to Google.

Individuals who do not wish to be featured in images or want their home to be taken off the database can register their objections by filling in an online form.

Guy on stage last night said "If Britain has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe and the second highest obesity levels in the world, then who's shagging all the fat chicks?" I love the simplistic Aussie view of the world.

These are girls who are tourists here, so probably never see them again. Although I'm pretty sure I'm in the "friend zone" with another...gutted.

Am I the only person who thinks the whole concept of Street View is appaling? Its nothing more than sanctioned noseyness, the 21st century equivalent of the twitching net curtain. None of which would matter too much if it served any useful purpose, but it simply doesn't. I'm horrified (although not in a Daily Mail reader kind of way you understand).

I'm fascinated because I think it's clever, but I do see your point. I think it could be useful if you've got your directions to where you want to go, but (like me) you have a shocking sense of direction, and want to see what your destination looks like before you get there so you've got an idea you're in the right place. Is that clutching at straws?
