The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

my thoughts on the show.

Chris seemed his self and as natural as i've seen him on tv. But i feel that channel 4 has missed a beat. It seems that it is not a format that will work and although chris looked good on the programme. I feel that the show will fail. Not because of chris. But because of the format of the show. I feel that it doesn't work and chris should of kept it too more of a comedic late night chat show.

Anyone else agree?

Dunno dunno dunno......Thought it was a bit meh!

Def needs a better booby prize than just singing at the end of the show...and giving a celebrity a prize doesn't really work, if it was a shite prize maybe, but a flat screen tv? nah.

Chris did really well I think, he seemed more natural than I thought he would.

I thought the overall thing was OK. A bit of fun for a Monday night with some good guests. Looking forward to seeing David Walliams and Ruth Jones on it next week.

Bad points - well, the singing at the end wasn't really much of an ending. If they are going to do singing as a forfeit, at least make it a full song. Also, 50 minutes was way too long. If they can edit shows like QI and Have I Got News For You down to 30 minutes they can surely do it with this - especially important as it's a school night.

I suppose I'm reviewing this a bit too much so in simple terms I thought it was good as there's nowt else on.
(Apart from JLCs new chat show at the same time on ITV2. Rivalry!)

I personally liked it however would have liked more chat with each celebrity before the questions, on current projects etc. The viewing figures of this weeks show and next week, will show if its a popular format! Singing im not sure about that !

I think episodes 3 and 4 will show if its a popular format or not, i guess most people will be tuning into the first couple of shows to give it a chance and if its bad they'll slowly begin to tune out...

I really enjoyed the show, its was a good way to end a rubbish week and i laughed out loud at several points. It even made me feel good about myself as i only got one wrong :D. Chris looked really relaxed and it didn't seem awkward like past tv appearences. Just wish someone would give Ronson a kick up the backside! Have to say i enjoyed it more than JLC's new show and i love JLC!

That would be a shame, and I would never want them to edit down the 'Sunday Night Project'. I see what you mean about it being similar to panel shows though, but Moyles is an entertainer, in this format they've brought together chat, quiz and the most excellent movie trailer parody. I thought that was good, a bit of * and bum fun for all his haters, just to wind them up a bit, cos he's supposed to be a homophobe.

I agree, more chat please, thats how you justify 50 minutes, scrap the bit at the end, or make it better, be a shame to go for the lazy option of just getting a band to play them out. Apart from the trailer, the other surprise was fuddy duddy Geramine Greer being on it, perhaps the old bag has finally found a sense of humour, or not.

Banter with Louis Walsh worked a treat, Moyles deserves credit for having a go at it, unlike radio, you're carrying the 'look' of the show aswell as the sound, so you can never have a vacant expression, true to form, he brought it all to life, a few tweaks and this could be a proper Sunday night treat, good, as I hate Sunday nights.

(Oh, and one more thing, the quiz was missing something, a certain, if I could just put my finger on it..)

Rob DJ! When I say Quiz, you say Night..

Mr Handjob, welcome along, you truly are a fountain of all knowledge when it comes to making great TV, your opinions come with backed-up evidence, clear thought processes and great research. Great critiscism, you have an eye for detail. 8) Glad you enjoyed it.

Fan of the man for the best part of a decade now, but that was disappointing. It needs a good edit, for a start. Started OK but faded out quick.

Try looking at my name and reading it again.

I would also like to add that Chris is only adding his celeb "friends" like Ronson, sharron and Louis Just to get some "pull" on the show, hell Louis was even on Ramsay cooking thing. How long until Davina is on.... next week i guess, Predictable television.

Oh ok, Mr Hob, well that has been said about the radio show too, that he always has the same guests on, but I've seldom found that to be too predictable as its all about the chat, and I personally want more of it, as its what makes the radio show what it is, you can take the piss more with people you know.

Yup same old thing day in day out on the radio, Which is why i don't listen in the morning. Do the same thing over and over again on the tv with the same guests and no one will watch. This show has a limited life span, the concept is flawed.

I value anyone's opinion, however the fact that you don't listen to the show in the mornings makes me wonder why you would then decide to watch Moyles on televison. It seems to me kind of obvious that Chris will use his, celebrity "friends" that he happens to use for his radio show for his tv show as they are easy to get hold of. (Little mess with agents etc). Granted they will get guests that Chris doesn't know personally for example (Barbara Windsor), however thats not always going to be possible.

Mystic Hob,

I'd love to see into the future like you and say stuff like that, but I think it would freak me out, however, as I said it certainly needs tweaking, an extra dimension added in a few bright lights, I'm thinking Kareoke, rather than them all huddled together like that at the end - just to keep in with the pub theme which it was obviously inspired by, with the whole Rob DJ thing on Tuesday mornings.

Well I liked it. The turning the screen thing off I didn't get, why? He could have chatted with the guests more when they sat with him, but he looked relaxed and confident, someone turned the headlamps off. It was funny, and I enjoyed it.

I thought the screen thing was quite funny, allowing him not of the time to focus on that guest (who he could have talked to a bit more, I suppose) and it also has the element of taking his 'cutting people off' on the phones to TV, and was quite clever.

I thought it was great, ALOT better than previous atempts. I think the fact he seemed to have more 'control' over the show, with the screen 'cutting' the guests off was a good thing. I did think that he was going to pull up Louis' cheating so he would have to sing. To be honest, it will only get better, well done Chris.

I thought Chris was very natural and relaxed on the show last night, unlike the other shows he's had, however - what a weird format - Keep the celebs in a box with button to talk to them whenever he wishes, but for every round have one of the celebrities out to sit with him while questions I thought the choice of the celebs last night was poor though, none were really strong enough.

Still, it has potential.

Chris seemed more relaxed than ever, and was by far his best TV appearance. On the other hand it was a very cheap format, and a very odd format too. I'm a massive fan of Mr Moyles, but it was dreadful in my opinion. Not his fault, just a terrible show. A proper chat show would be far better.

I enjoyed it, however - I don't think Chris should "dance" when the guests come on, and I hope that as it develops the Quiz element becomes secondary to the chat show.
