The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Will Young should take it as a compliment too - its the only way he's gonna get his rubbish songs on Radio 1!

 Eight people with way too much time on their hands.

More to the point, if he was homophobic, Aled (and Will Young), wouldn't be friends with him. And I genuinely believe Aled when he says that he really loves Chris. Not in that way though.

FFS this sort of stuff pisses me off.

Huh. He uses his authority to bully Aled, I don't sense any peer respect at all. He really is a nasty piece of work.
#379537
Because he's hungry - you know about hungry trolls Tial.

Dont worry-Moyles will probably only be suspended for a week or 2-(theyll pretend its a scheduled holiday as per usual).theres no danger of him facing the axe over this-unless they want an excuse to get rid of him!
#379541
Oh god another one.
#379546
Yes I think it is unwarranted.

I think this, as it was intended as a joke.

Will Young would not have been offended I am sure, he comes across as fairly relaxed and normal.

People will, and always have taken the piss out of each other. Many of the best friendships are based around this pre-concept.

There are many more important things in life to worry about, and to get animated about than this harmless banter.

Indeed those people who do get upset about an entertaining entertainer surely are displaying the Pea Brain sized intelligence your fellow troll mentioned.

This is totally ludicrous. It's completely clear to anyone with half a brain that Moyles wasn't being homophobic. You only need to listen to half an hour of one of his shows to realise this.

I'm a total fag hag and delight in taking the piss out of some of my camper mates. However, I can take it back from them in equal amounts. This is merely how people behave in normal society.

I wish people would stop jumping on the media outrage band wagon. There's no way he'll be suspended over something as idiotic as this. If he is, I shall be supremely disappointed in the BBC.

@ Jonny Yesno. Yes I do believe his reprimand is completely unwarranted.

Yeah like stopping the reinforcement of deregoratory characteristics of sections of society who are discriminated against whether they be racial, xenophobic or homophobic. I doubt Will Young represents all of the gay community, maybe tina11 can clarify.

The real sadness is that Moyles thinks this is 'edgey' whereas it's nothing other than playground offensiveness beyond which his imagination runs dry.

How about engaging with the subject here rather than appearing defensive when criticism upsets your back-slapping circle-jerk.

So, do you think his reprimand is unwarranted?

Engaging with what subject? I like Moyles, you don't. What's to engage in? I don't mind you not liking him. It doesn't upset me that you think he is a terrible person, and it doesn't make me angry that you think he is a homophobic bully. I don't agree, but so what?

I'm weary.
#379553
Well, one thing I can clarify with absolutely no hesitation is that Scott Mills ain't too keen on him. I'm referring to Will Young by the way, certainly not Moyles. This is giving me a headache too. I'm out.

PS. If it's any consolation, I read an article about him and his twin brother in the Sunday Times and thought he seemed a pretty pleasant chap.

The clue's in the thread title.

Selectively edited quoting won't help your credibility. But if what I said before genuinely wasn't enough for you, I believe that it is an unfounded accusation. You clearly don't believe that. I still don't see the benefit in engaging.

The fact that you are so out of touch with the style of the show does little to add to your argument. The show is not all about Chris, Dom and Dave have young families, Carry and Rachel have got and are getting married, Aled has just broken up with a long term partner. Much of the discussion on the show revolves around these rather mundane, day to day aspects of the teams life. That is not edgy.

Playground behavior it may sometime be, which personally I find funny. It is only your interpretation of it which indicates you are offended by it, that in itself does not make the remark offensive generally to all people.

Your statement that you would like to stop people having opinions about differences in race, culture, sexual preferences, or home land is naive and belittles the importance of other issues like Malaria, starvation and poor sanitation. Oh and "nasty" Chris just spent a week of his life climbing a mountain to raise money for those people, and for those causes. He makes up an on the spot parody about Will Young, who has got camper since he won Pop Idol, and you think thats important!

You are therefore a Wanker, and you should just * off.

Discriminating against people - ie taking actions which directly and adversely affect people - based on race, religion, gender etc is illegal in this country. Beyond that, we're all fair game as far as I can see. I hope the day never comes when people take offence every time someone rips the piss out of them, if only because it probably means we'll all be forced to read the Daily Mail.

Quite the opposite, I think expressing these opinions and rationally exploring how we should all share the planet in peace without upsetting eachother is of paramount importance. You've misquoted me there.

Moyles has not stopped yanking that chain since he returned. He steered every conversation onto this collosal feat of endurance and just when he's maximised his exposure his quiz show is launched. Does that not look like cynical exploitation to you, even through your Moyles goggles.

boboff wrote:You are therefore a Wanker, and you should just * off.

See, you're part of the problem but why not just shrug it off and accept the declining standards of entertainment you're willing to accept.

In which case go and pursue your sanctimonious ideals in the real world instead of baiting people on the internet.

The very fact you saw fit to write that sentence given your "contribution" to this forum makes you a contemptible hypocrite.
