As you may have seen in the news, Chris has been criticised by Ofcom, the broadcasting watchdog, for an item in his show in which the BBC Radio 1 DJ mocked the singer Will Young in a high-pitched, effeminate voice. Ofcom said listeners could reasonably have thought the piece was "promoting and condoning certain negative stereotypes based on sexual orientation" as Will is gay. Ruling that the show - aired at 8.15 in the morning on January 20 - breached the broadcasting code, Ofcom said both the tone and content of what Moyles said had the "potential to cause considerable offence".

In other news the ratings for Chris' big TV comeback have been released with the Sunday night show capturing 1.2 million viewers.

With up to eight million listeners to the Radio 1 show, Channel 4 were hoping for more and admitted the figure was "a bit disappointing".

Chris' last TV vehicle, the Chris Moyles Show on Five in 2002, was canceled after one series.
