Ive just taken a look at the easter scedule on radio one and see that Sara Cox will be back siting in for Jo Whiley from tuesday april 14 to friday april 17.Chappers and Dave will be doing Coxys show on sunday april 12.Bank holiday monday looks good..here is the line up for that day
4am-Rob de Bank and Giles Peterson

6.30am-Zane Lowe on breakfast!

10am-Huw SDtephens

1pm-Daniel P Carter

4pm-Tim Westwood

7pm-Kissy Sell Out

9pm-David Hooper with a new electronica show

10pm-Colin Murray


should be a good listen for the bank holiday mnday.Thats april 13.

David Hooper was good last time he was on Radio 1.

Couldnt agree more. Like many others I used to hate her breakfast shows, but now I think she is great. Dont care whether she replaces Whiley or Bowman, but either way Sara Cox should be on a permanent daystime show.

On Digital Spy the general consensues is that Sara should be on days yet it hasnt happened. How can Edith possibly be considered a better listen that Sara Cox? Baffles me.

Has anyone else heard the scott mills show when they play 'Whats Occuring'? They had a great bit when coxy was on for Jo were they had to guess how many times Coxy mentioned food in a week and they put it all together, it went on for ages!!! Sure you can still hear it on Scotts page.

It's probably still management holding onto what happened with the rise & fall of her breakfast show, to be fair she did do better than Radio Gods, Mark & Lard, on that slot. I just think she was too much in that time slot for some (her voice did grate on me in the morning TBH, but she has mellowed a lot over the years). I don't think Chris would have done as well had the Breakfast Show been like the Afternoon show in 1999-2001, not that there was anything wrong with it mind (it was at it's peak between 1999-2001) but the current show is more welcoming to all that the afternoon show (which listen back to them if they were doing that in today's environment then the Mail readers would have all been having heart attacks!)

I agree, I've only listened to a couple of afternoon shows (thanks to you lovely people on here! ) and it seems a lot more 'laddish' the lack of female input is very noticable to me. Maybe its also because you now have Dom the family man and Dave is now married (again) with a daughter, they've all mellowed a little.

I'd be well happy to have Coxy assume Whileys position, or Bowmans for that matter. In fact, get rid of Bowman, put in Cox. Get rid of Whiley, put in, say, Frank Skinner. Or Jeremy Clarkson. Can't see it appealing to everybody, but it emphasises my point that I don't like Bowman and Whiley. Keep Scott though, he's funny.

I had to pop out in the work's van today and I had the radio, it was quite a pleasant surprise to hear Coxy. As I've said before, I have no problem with Jo Whiley but Coxy is just more fun and more likely to put you in a good mood. I never liked Coxy when she did the breakfast show, now I think she's great.
