Atleast he's joining in, unlike Ronson last week.

Hi I'm new to this so I hope I'm not repeating something other people have said.

I really like Chris on the radio and listen every day. But i don't understand why he doesn't just stick to the radio. He always looks so awkward on the TV, it's like he's being forced into doing it by his agent of something.

I'm watching the TV show now, and as I said I really like Chris, but I'm only watching because there's nothing else on, and to be honest it's pretty ropey tele.

I just wish he'd realise what he's good at and leave TV presenting to TV presenters.

See I think this is the most like his radio persona he's been on TV compared to his other efforts.

Yeah but it works on the radio for two reasons, 1: He has his team with him, 2: You can't see the awkward silences and confusion on faces on the radio!

Anyone know what sort of figures channel 4 were aiming for? And if he's beating the Sunday night project figures then surely thats a good thing?

At the start of the year SNP was getting 1.5m (8% share), which is what Chris got for the second show, so he's holding on to the audience but surely Channel 4 would like to gain some of his 7.5m listeners who perhaps don't watch SNP.

I'm not sure its reasonable to assume that people who listen to the breakfast show on Radio 1 are necessarily going to be suitable targets fro Channel 4 at 10pm on Sunday though. I'm sure that C4 will be hoping that the publicity gained from ther radio show will help the figures, but I doubt the market research would suggest a huge direct transfer of listeners/viewers.

Going back on topic.

As mentioned above, I think Channel 4 where hoping to get alot of the audience from Chris' show. But they never should have thought that. Alot of those people only listen to Chris' show in the morning and thats it. They dont post on forums about him, follow him on Twitter, check the Radio 1 website or care to be honest. They listen because its something nice to listen to on the way to work.

Along with this Channel 4 have put the show on at 10pm on a sunday night. Alot of people that have young families or have to be up early for work will want to be going to bed at this time and are not going to stay up until 11pm to watch his show.

The average audience Channel 4 get in that slot is around 1 million - 1.2 million, so its not been all that bad so far.

Thanks for the idea, SAV1OUR, but it appears it doesn't work overseas.

Alan on the horse = brilliant.

The subtle 'Oh shit' when chris turned round and their where no guests had me in stitches, it just seemed so natural.

Did everyone spot the deliberate mistake?
