You forgot one category - The 'Paul Gambaccini needs a slap award'

Oh and I just found this, apparently Paul has been dropped from hosting the Sony's:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/dec/21/radio-bbc

The bitter old git needs to keep taking his pills so he doesnt keep coming out with tasteless jibes against Moyles and the BBC. Very uncalled for.

As for the awards themselves, it just seems to be the same bunch of people year in year out, whose 'turn' will it be to get a gong this year I wonder? It's got naff all to do with quality. That said it would be great if Moyles was allowed to keep parading himself in front of the industry year in year out, but I doubt it somehow if he'll win.

Good to see Adam & Joe getting a few nominations there, I hope they get at least one because they really deserve it.

As for Chris getting the Breakfast Show award again - I'm not sure he will to be honest. They got rid of Gambaccini - that shows a nod towards Chris' direction, but if they gave him the award too it'd probably be seen as a bit OTT.

I look forward to being proven wrong though. :D

I also don't think he will get it but just because of all the bad press this year.

I swear that's the same breakfast nominations as last year. Right down to Bowie at Breakfast up here on Radio Clyde.

In the Entertainment Catagory it's nice to see the guy who played Robin alongside Val Kilmer's Batman is up for an award. I hope Jeff Lloyd gets it. I thought Tim Shaw was sacked from Absolute? Why'd they put him in for it?

It was just a stupid joke, trying to get them some publicity for his show.

I also think the Geoff Lloyd deserves it, and it's not a bad field for him to be up against, only Adam and Joe are the people who will stop him.

I don't think he'll get it either, but for political reasons over anything else. When you look at the competition, in a fair contest he should have it in the bag, but somehow I can't see it this year.

At least he's been relieved of his hosting duties this year. Chris Evans is doing it instead.

NOTE TO CHRIS:

Yes, it is brilliant that you have been nominated for a second year running but PLEASE STOP going on about it every 5 seconds!

For people that don't follow the awards or work radio, they do not care and it will annoy them. I follow them but its annoying me as your going on about it every bludy second!

End of rant.

Today he was quite about it.

It was also in the news though. Plus yesterday was yesterday, today was quiet, so your rant is a day late, therefore not really valid

They extend, thus making you a safe distance away from your opponent, and out of reach of any cheap shots they may try.

I've modified my suitcas so the extendible handles are on super powerful springs. Press a button and they shoot out taking your opponent by surprise and crippling him in the process.
