I know a few people on here want to hear what went on, just out of curiosity. So I thought I'd do a formal request.
Does anyone have the unedited version of this morning's show when they were going through the highlights of the kareoke?
Thanks!

Given the amount of fun I've been having listening back to the stuff you've edited, the least I can do is help out here. I've just got hold of the full show, but unfortunately with all the music and news still in, so I'm not sure where I stand on uploading it. Any ideas? Drop me a PM if we need to take this offline...

Aww, thanks!

Well Zshare is quite good for something temporary (and less likely to have it removed), but it can be slow. If it's working for you, it'd be great if you could upload it and PM the link, then I could clip it if you don't have the editing software. :D

Ed has kindly uploaded the show for me, so I should have it clipped and up sometime tonight.

I only listen to the show via the iplayer (iplayer downloader -> MP3), so haven't heard any of Wednesday 8th April's show -- it's been completely pulled from iplayer.

Can some kind soul post the whole show on zshare or MegaUpload or mediafire or similar?

Thanks!

No problem :)
I use Acid Pro 4 - which you can probably easily 'acquire' if you look in the right places. There are later versions available, but I've stuck with 4 since I've been using it for years now!

I'm surprised Chris didn't let loose on Fincham there and then ...

I'm at work so I can't download the link at the mo, however can I ask have you put the full show up ther (minus the music) or is it just the slip up. if it's the full show we could add it to the archive, ever though it's only a few days old

That's just a clip of what was edited out of the iPlayer.
It's no problem me editing the whole show though!

Thanks for the info, if you want to feel free to do so, I could add it to the archive as an example of how far the show has come over the years :D

Balls, it's Windows only and I'm on a Mac. Looks like nice software though, I'll check around for a Mac equivalent

I was surprised too. I imagine there were words later, that was a pretty serious * by BBC standards, especially at the moment. Fincham's immediate reaction of "but I listened to it" wasn't exactly smart either. Similar to letting slip that N-Dubz were the guests in Swindon, just because of his need to get his voice on the air.

I've always had the feeling he's more about the glory than the job itself, and I haven't heard anything from him that contradicts that.

I use Audacity for audio editing on the Mac.

I think Matt's pretty lucky that he's now integrated into the team, if he had just been an anonymous assistant I reckon he would be moving along right about now. Surely he can't get away with many more mistakes though..?
