Let me get this straight. Please, correct me if I go wrong somewhere. A forum on F1 were getting so powerful that the site owners ESPN, who you say are to do with Ecclestone, in plain fear that these guys sitting at their PCs may bring down the multi, multi, multi million world of a sport that takes place and is shown in most of the world's continents, decided that, no...it is not the ban on tobacco advertising that could bring down the sport; no..... not the global credit crunch and sponsors going iinto bankruptcy that could bring it down; no....it is these F1 posters that pose the real threat!!!!

Did I miss anything???

I repeat what I said earlier - go back through this entire thread and count how many individuals have contributed, in anger and support, and I bet you wouldn't even get to 30 (I doubt you'd get to 20 but I'm feeling generous!)

Wireman's just rewritten the definition of irony. Way to go fella.

I've just had a look at The Sun online this morning, and there doesn't seem to be anything new on the subject there so far today. I'd forgotten what unmitigated turdage those wankers dribble out, that site makes children's TV look like cutting edge journalism.

Old??? How rude!!! Let's put it this way, in Moyles years, I'd be 26, but I'm old enough to get the Gripper and Two Ronnies references mentioned in the handover today so make of that what you will!!!!!!

I meant old in the sense of 7 posts since July 2007 - and I bet you're younger than me.

Distributed denial of service... basically taking down a system by flooding a computer or network with tons of traffic so that they don't have the resources to service legitimate requests.

Console wrote:'fancys' == 'fancies'
'nuffink' == 'nothing'

Haha!

This one always got me. Why is it that so called geeks have this whole other language of typos? Surely they of all people should be able to type properly. "It is teh stupid." as they say.

Nothing to do with being a geek - no one I know uses 'leet' speak (or moron speak, as I call it) - it's only used (seriously) by people wanting to look 'elite', by 'script-kiddies' and the like. It's worse than text-speak.

Oldest Child Yudster stopped using it when he was 15. Thats about its level I think. Although I will admit to calling people n00b every now and then. Its really not the same thing as "newbie".

Yeah, but pr0n at least serves a purpose. I know of at least one irc network that kicks anyone who types porn. So if you're referring to it at all you use pr0n instead and you don't get kicked.

Admittedly, I don't know many geeks that use it either. It's why I said "so called" geeks!

I love the Chris Moyles show and listen every morning nd then listen to the podcasts repeatedly. To me it is not just Chris- Dom and Dave who make me laugh just as much. Yes there is one member of the team who i could live without but the others make up for it. The age thing is ridiculous frankly. If Chris gets the chop for being too old at 35, then why the heck is Jo Whiley still on Radio One at , what, 45? She is a lovely woman but she is about as cutting edge as Terry Wogan. I just cannot listen to her cosy show, sorry. If Chris gets sacked and Jo stays i will never listen to radio one again.

Wogan is far more entertaining than Wiley.

Oddly enough at work the bloke in our filing room had Radio 2 on, Wogan and Ken Bruce were having a chat & it instantly reminded me of when Coogan & Brydon did their excellent impressions & were spot on with the banter as well between the two.
