Not being a Londonite and living in the normal world - What does Carrie actually do?

Fair enough she gets up early each week day to read the sports news for 1 min every hour until 10am but, is this all she does for BBC Sport??? 25hrs per week seems a cushy number to me. I thought most other sports jouranlists get involved with weekend commentary on sporting events. How is she exempt from this?

She does work for the BBC on TV & Five Live Sport, amongst other things.

See you when you think of something else to have a moan at about anyone from the show :)

I know she's been involved with Match Of The Day and BBC London in the past. She also posted something on Twitter yesterday or today about having an earpiece fitted for segments on BBC News.

I get the impression she's a standard BBC Sport journalist, who happens to have a regular radio slot, as opposed to the "Sport Girl on the Chris Moyles Show" who happens to do other bits and pieces.

Why not being a "Londonite" excludes you from knowing this is beyond me. I also consider myself as living in the normal world - or does having this information make my world exceptional?

If that's the case Cinderellaman, does me having shared this information with you now make your world exceptional? Or indeed, do you now have to consider the possibility that you might become a "Londonite"?

Perhaps these questions should be exercising your brain as much as what Carrie's job may be? After all, they are of equal importance.

Ed - you should really lighten up a bit pal.

C-Kay - I have plenty to moan about if you want me too?

Anyone else noticed how serious some people can be?

It did sound like you were having a moan in fairness.

Cinderallman, you really shouldn't take things so seriously. First Carrie, and now me. Dear oh dear.

What kind of answer did you actually expect? Give us more of a clue, and I'm sure someone will try and make sure you only hear what you want to.

Cinders I think they both have a point sweets. If you listened regularly you'd know Carrie does loads with radio 5 live etc cos she talks about it a lot.

Chill out.

You'll either get used to it, or in the case of most they don't and never return.

I'll take this opportunity to say hi as we've never met and hope you stick around.

All you do is question the team's lives, actually, it's just the girls, weirdly.... 'why does Rachel get to go to Kilimanjaro?', 'why is carries exempt from working on other shows',' what's the point of Rachel?' There's a pattern emerging with every topic you make.....

But it's a nice pattern Cinderellaman, don't get too worked up. Nobody's implying your posts are not worth taking seriously. Apart from you. Oh, and me.

Carrie writes her broadcasts as well doesn't she? I don't think she's just sitting there looking purdy waiting for her turn to read the sport, while Chris and the team chatter on.

Who could forget John Motson's 'higher' moment and he spoke to Carrie about it when she'd been commentating. Its on a podcast, look it up

The news and sport on the show is every 30 minutes not every hour apart from 9am. She reports for BBC Sport. I saw her last year outside Don Valley Stadium after she had reported on a Rotherham United game.

Well she rides horses, walks her dogs, makes sausages, engages in marital activities with Tom, oh and is a full time sports journalist employed by the BBC.

What do you do all day cinders? Cleaning and cooking for your ugly sisters no doubt.
