I initially read that as "'mon the wedgies", which seeing as it was Foots who posted it didn't seem strange at all.

Wiltsher here - I am NOT saying how young I am LOL
http://ericwiltsher.blogspot.com/
Above is me.
What do I think of C.M. can't say that much cos I once worked with the boy.
Where do I listen, in the car going to work cos I have internet radio in my car, and then in my office - that'll be Poprad Slovakia, just beneath the High Tatras Mountains.
Why do I listen - damned if I know.
How come I'm here - long story, to long to share.
Who made me join the Forum - those class 1's at the current bun, by the way I missed the launch of the Gaunt show today - never mind ah.
Do I listen to R1 all day - nope, just selected bits.
That'll do for now. Time to sit in the mountain sunshine.

Thats the bit I want to know about - unless you are like Matt Fincham, and only like to give out tiny bits of information to pique people's interest so that they will pay attention to you, but have no intention of actually saying anything that they want to hear, at least not any more than it will keep them coming back and asking.

Oh, hello by the way. Slovakia sounds - mountainous.

Hello, I'm Helen and I'm an alcoholic.

Oh wait - wrong forum.

I'm 38 and a fan of football (Man Utd and FC United of Manchester), Chris Moyles, a wide range of music, my new laptop and motors.

I've listened to Moyles since he was on early breakfast (COME ON!!!!!)

I work in PR and when Chris had his afternoon show, we dropped off at Radio 1 a vacuum cleaner made by one of our clients, on the off-chance it might get mentioned on-air. We supported it with analysis of dirt content from carpets taken from sample buildings which showed student houses were five times dirtier than even a pub. Will and Chris thought it was so daft, they ended up running a two-week competition to win the vacuum cleaner - "I Want Your Vac" - with a special jingle to the tune of I want you back by Bananarama, and loads of pics on the webpage. Students had to send in a pic of their digs and the grottiest won the vacuum cleaner. Dream result for a PR campaign.

You'll see I joined this forum in December 2006 and the post-count suggests I believe in quality not quantity.

I joined to get a copy of the Travis Christmas song they recorded with Chris and Dave (a download kindly provided for me by someone here) and called in on Monday to catch up on the Sun fall-out.

My bedroom and bathroom radios are permanently tuned to Radio 1 so I can listen the breakfast show but I only really listen to Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens aside from Chris. I do like Chappers and Dave though, shame they're not on as a double act more often.

I like you, however, I believe in quantity not quality.

Welcome along.

Hiya,
I'm new here.
Names Vicky but I generally go by Vic. I'm 25 and live in a small town in S. Wales.
Like others I've seen on here, I've listened to Chris since the early breakfast show and at the moment he is what keeps me going in the mornings!!
I have to be honest I don't really listen to Radio One other than that, apart from Zane and Scott occasionally and sometimes Vernon on a Saturday.
Right, hope I've not bored you all with this introduction.
Hope to speak to you all soon.
Love Vic xx

Hey Vicky, a big chrismoyles.net welcome to you, apart from Scott Mills that seems quite like my listening habits. I hope you'll be happy here, see you around. :)

Hello Vicky and Helen. I hope both (in particular Helen, no offense Vicky) stick around.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I am very much Radio-Ga-Ga, to the extent I eschewed Walkmans, iPods etc until Christmas just gone, so a maker of great radio like Moyles was always going to be a winner in my eyes (ears?).

Hello people. I'm not sure whether it's wise to say this in my introduction or not, but I'm actually a former Moyles-hater from his early R1 days who was converted about 3/4 years ago and is now in love with the show. I even love the man himself, which I once would never have thought possible. I wonder... has he changed, or have I?

The show is my tonic in the mornings. I need it badly.

It's nice to finally join up... I'd been thinking about it for ages. :)

Again, welcome along!
Stick around. It's nice here. Just as long as you don't use txt spk or lol.
Unless you're Aled. :D

Fear not, I hate text speak! I hate bad grammar too, but to forewarn you all I do sometimes start my sentences without an "I" when there should be one, e.g. "Can't stand text speak". Would I get shouted at for that?...

I have been known to occasionally slip out 'lol's in forums where they're commonplace, but I tend to adapt to the etiquette of wherever I am so hopefully that won't happen here. ;)

I'm by no means an authority on this (it doesn't bother me how people write to be honest as long as it's not impossible to read), but I think the pedants on here will definitely approve!

If I count as a pedant (the answer to that may or may not be obvious), I think missing "I" from the start of the odd sentence is not a worry.

Glad to hear it, Topher! ;) S4B, nice to find a like-minded fan. I think it's a little of both. I used to be mega-uptight compared to now (oddly I was a teenager at the time, now 26) but I am fairly sure Chris has changed a little too, and I've heard him admit this himself.

Having lurked here for a while I really ought to know this, but where do you all stand on acronyms? They seem to be rife on the Mills forum* and I often can't understand anything as a result. Does anyone ever say CMS for example?

*I've been a lurker there too, but less often that here as I listen to that show less often, and I find the level of geekiness unnerving at times.
