Ballack Hill = * Hilarious.

I watch a bit of 606 on the red button and Lovejoy looked completely dejected. Although I wanted Chelski to lose, I do feel for them a tiny bit. It looked like a couple of 'stonewall' penalties, but hey, you win some you lose some. How funny was it to see Drogba lose it like that. Wonder if Drogba would've been caught doing a 'Bentner' last night?

Ha, I was about to post that... Alan Davies linked to it on Twitter.

He also linked to this one:

If Chelsea want to complain about the refereeing they need to remember that if the ref had been better in the first leg they would have had two key players sent off, and the second leg would have looked very different indeed from the start.

Everyone is going on about Drogba, but Ballack should have a lifetime European ban for his behaviour. And there was NO excuse for it - more key decisions went in Chelsea's favour than against them in that match, and over the course of the two games it was even more conclusively in their favour. I think they should be thrown out of next year's competition after that display.

I second that for no other reason than I hate Chelsea

Thanks Char.

Most Chelsea fans I know get on with Spurs fans and vice versa. Its just the hardcore Chelski lot that hate us. Maybe because we have more history :D

I don't mind Chelsea, in the sense they are the lesser of two evils. The team that are really funny are Hammers. The team itself are OK, but the fans. Mindless idiots with HUGE chips on their shoulders.

Well now I wonder how many are on here 8)

Spurs are an interesting club. A few seasons ago they successfully sued (well, settled out of court) another Premiership club for referring to their fans in their programme notes as "The Yid Army" - saying "Yid" is a racist and defamatory term. I agree, it is - but thats what they call themselves! As evidenced by

I can't remember us suing a club, when was that?

I think being a Spurs fan has made me a stronger person. I am used to upset and disapointment and now know how to set expectations.

Unlike the poor Arsenal fan who hanged himself after the Man Utd game

You should try being a Luton fan, like my brother - or a QPR fan like my mum... their upset and disappointment knows no bounds.

It would have got more publicity if it had made it to court I imagine - it would have been about three years ago I reckon, and I dont know any details - the only reason I heard about it was a commuting friend of Mr Yudster's was a lawyer involved in the paperwork. I thought it had a beautiful if stereotypical feel to it!

You make a good point about the over-emphasis we put on football though. I didnt hear about that Arsenal fan - what a terrible waste. Mr Y is a keen United fan and takes each game seriously enough - but thankfully he isn't one to let a bad result affect him beyond that.

And if you want to get good at expectation management and despair control, come and join me at Colchester........

It's very sad - here Yudwuk. I think that must have been the straw that broke the camel's back, I can't imagine anyone being that upset by sporting performance.

The game last night was hilarious for a few reasons. The refereeing was poor, but as someone already stated not just for Chelsea. Chelsea ought to have had a penalty for the Piqué incident, but I'm not sure about the others. But as for Barca, Abidal getting sent off was utterly ridiculous as I'm not even sure he touched Anelka!

As for the behaviour of Drogba and Ballack I think it was absolutely disgraceful. I can't hide my sheer contempt for Drogba - he is a cheating, malicious, arrogant * and it seems Ballack is becoming like that too. And then John Terry made no amends by defending Drogba's actions!

One more thing, I love Iniesta. He was fouled so much, and then he scores a cracker to knock the Chelsea wankers out. Brilliant.

Can you please stop sitting on the fence? We need to know how you feel.

PS - I endorse everything you wrote

Gordon Strachan - an excellent pundit, a clown of a manager. I cannot believe a team as piss poor and as skint as the current Rangers team are now likely to be the SPL champions this year.

Thinking of Wilson Palacios. I rarely agree with anything that Harry Redknapp says, but I agree with him that sometimes football just doesn't seem all that important.

Is it just me, or has there been a hell of a lot more stories on the front pages than the back pages regarding footballers this season than in previous seasons? I know they turn up there from time to time, but it does seem there's been more than usual.

Admittedly, not all of the stories have been the fault of the footballer themselves. I mean the Palacios thing seems to have come only a couple of weeks after Defoe's. And then there's the tadgers that have been robbing footballers' houses too.

Pleased to see a Newcastle win tonight, they can't be relegated!

Also, St. Johnstone winning their last game of the season 4-0 with a youth team was good, meaning we finish 10 points clear instead of the 4 we had only 2 weeks ago!
