I have heard quite a bit of the show this week. I thought it was OK. Clearly not up to Chris's standard, and its very fake in places, but it has made me chuckle a couple of times.

I do like Oh Whats Occurring, and sometimes Dear Scott, but Its Only Blurgh Friday is pants and needs to go.

Greg didn't do the Wonder Years, he did something called Alphabetical instead. Basically went through the alphabet from 5pm playing music he wanted to play. Really enjoyed and kinda brightens up the Wonder Years format a bit.

Ah has Greg been filling in for Scott this week then? I'll have to download some of those then :D

I promised jocky85 that I'd be all light and fluffy today so here goes. I listened to a link on Scott's show this morning and "quite lidderaly" laughed out loud. He was talking about defrosting his freezer (bear with me) and how he had to eat a ton of Yorkshire Puddings. Becky chimed in about hot dog eating championships she'd seen on ESPN or Eurosport, which Chappers disputed, and the whole thing got quite surreal and, dare I say it, funny.

Technically it was Becky who made me laugh rather than Scott, but in my attempt to be sweetness and light I'm going to overlook that.

I feel dirty.

See I heard that and dismissed it as a feeble attempt to manufacture something to talk about based on an episode of Friends. If you're going to chat about stuff that happens to you, don't just make it up.

Besides which, anyone who describes frozen Aunt Bessie crispy batter cups as Yorkshire Puddings should be drowned in their own urine.

God I hope so.............

But it's sooo easy to make your own from scratch, and they're cheaper AND taste soooo much nicer.
There's a lady here at work who swears on Aunt Bessie's frozen roast potatoes too.
NO, a thousand times NO.

I am the only one that doesn't listen to any R1 daytime output unless Chris is on. I heard about 5min when I went into a different room at work today and heard him mention something about 'Scott Mills Musical'?

How on earth do you know this? Have you surveyed all the other 7.699999 million listeners to the show?

I wonder how Scott would feel about being shoved back onto early breakfast? I actually quite liked him when he did that show!

I've 'enjoyed' Scott's show more this time around than I normally do. I even laughed out loud the other day when Scott was talking about his friend and said "What's the worst thing a woman can say to a man?" and Chappers replied "I've got 5 kids". It was so off the cuff I snorted, very attractive

They're not Chris and the team and they never will be, clearly, but it's fine for background listening whilst I'm getting the family ready and house sorted in the mornings.

Can I second this and BEG that no one sane actually said that they were Yorkshire Puddings?!

I meant Am I, not I am. Apologies.

I am currently half way through listening to the last week of the Moyles show before they went off on holiday. This is the third week that I have listened to it. The fact that the constant adverts for the 'upcoming' Big Weekend are making me twitch should give you an idea of how much I want to avoid listening to Mills.

If they're making you twitch, listen to some in the archive, where you'll hear adverts for John Peel's Show, "The Milennium", Sara Cox's Breakfast Show & early ads for 1Xtra ;)

I heard that feature read by the woman from Radio 4 today... if those are real emails sent in (and I'm not entirely sure they are, but with Mills' listeners you never can tell), they are written by complete retards.

One thing I have noticed over the last two weeks is that my alarm clock isn't waking me up at present. When the cheesey song kicks in I normally wake up, more or less, straight away. Because Mills doesn't play the cheesey song & just plays music straight away , I don't seem to wake up in time now.

I've been thru all the previous week's shows on Listen Again, all my podcasts and almost everything in the archive that I hadn't already listened to. I'm even starting to miss doing my Tedious of an evening! My flatmate was somewhat confused when he came into my room and heard a snippet of a 2005 breakfast show emanating from my pc... :)

Sat and today are up
