Fighting Talk is good. Weekend Breakfast isn't bad

Richard Bacon's show is also great.

Not interested in Fighting Talk, can't stand Richard Bacon (talentless tosser with a far too high opinion of himself) and Dave and Chappers will take care of Weekend Breakfast for me soon, so I seriously struggle with Five Live I'm afraid.

I thought Scott was spot on with his analysis of his interview of DJ Talent.......for those who didn't hear it he thought tht it was all an elaborate con. A sort of Ali G type character playing a huge prank on everyone....

Aren't most talk hosts somewhat self-important though? We do both love 'the Saviour of Radio One' after all. :D

Yes, but he's not talentless ;)

Richard Bacon was crap doing OBs for the Big Breakfast, and hasn't improved since then.

Don't worry - it's over now!!!! Was hoping that as it is a bank holiday, Scott Bilge wouldn't be on. Tuned in in the hope that ANYONE else might be on (yes, it has got to the stage that I'd even have settled for Grimshaw or Annie Mac - that's how bad Bilge is!!!)

So - Radio 1 figures boost from tomorrow!!!

I listened to Scott while Moyles and the team were away.

I laughed occasionally, I think Scott and his team put on a good show, and - dare I say it (!) - a couple of times I thought it was okay to have a brief change, only because Moyles's style of topical, unscripted talking never changes.

One thing I don't get is the jingles state "The Chris Moyles show, with Scott Mills 'cos Chris is on holiday", yet not one part of the show is the same as Chris'. Why not just call it "Scott Mills On Breakfast" instead?

It's ok. You won't be feeling too well, we're all allowed to lose our minds occasionally, especially if our beloved team goes doon. Get well soon matey.

Already theres been a piece of classic radio this morning - Carrie's horse mowing the lawn, it was a 'LOL' moment for me.

The same station it's been for the past 42 years, albeit with updated music and a slightly different line up every now and again.

I listened to Scott a bit, he was "dissing" Chris quite allot I thought. The whole Zoe Salmon interview was mocking Chris' Lechery. It was funny though.

Back to work after a long weekend to a place full of smug Rangers fans gloating over their league championship and our lack of manager (although the only difference I'll notice is I'll be insulted less)...

And yet I still woke up with a smile on my face because I head the Cheesy Song this morning. Back to normal!

I'm not sure what I found funnier this morning. Carrie's lawn mowing horse or the Kung Po Chicken in the quiz!

Only downside was my fecking Zune decided to epic fail today and so I was left without a radio. I'd have streamed but our bandwidth sucks at the best of times in here.

Been looking at the webcam shots - did I detect the pointless presence of Matt Fincham hovering again this morning? I hope he didn't get on air for too long, he always spoils that part of the show for me.

Very good SAV1OUR. Nice wit there.

I do feel better! I am glad the team are back (the 'C' Team?!). Rob DJ made me laugh - 10 numbers for 9 letters!

i record the show on sky+ and have fell 2months behind, so ive welcomed the break as there is 2weeks worth i can just delete. Mills is terrible, he tries to go for the moyles 'unplanned' approach, but it sounds so fake. I listened to the 1st 15mins of todays show when i got up, brilliant already!

Just listened back to the first show, they're on great form as always. Fincham still as irritating as ever however, they really need to lose him. Hanging around in the back of the studio laughing too loud, no idea who's in the Prodigy but still has to shout out answers to get his voice heard. He's basically the annoying kid at school who always has his hand up whether he knows the answer or not, and then whinges when he he's told to do something. Pack the kid off to Steve Wright, he'd fit right in.

He was even irritating me this morning before he had even got to the building.

Ed, if you dislike him so much (and don't get me wrong, I think that's a perfectly reasonable reaction), why are you apparently following him on Twitter?

I follow all the team (who have accounts) because I'm basically a CMS geek with no life (and a sideline in self-deprecation). But you're right, I really should stop with him, it doesn't help my blood pressure. That said, having seen that update on Twitter at least I'm forewarned about what to expect when I listen later, so it has served some useful purpose.
