The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues
#388394
As a die hard fan I would like to quote funny, memorable, interesting, unusual, etc. bits from the show. I couldn't see a similar live topic after searching.
Like a real time diary.
To look back on.
Okay, I could do this off the Forum but others may like to read it. What do you think?
No going off-topic at all.
Just short "text clips".
The only thing is if I was the only person to add daily notes, and therefore keep the topic on the front page, it would look a bit sad and I'd have to stop.

...I was looking back at my sound clips and in 2004 I loved it when Jon Culshaw would phone people impersonating the Doctor (phoning NASA), Des Lynam (Germany), Obi Wan Kenobi (Kwik Fit), etc. Brilliant! The sound clips are available on this site's Sound Vault.

And I loved the Miley Cyrus (October 2008) Miley Psoriasis voice!

But just yesterday, 29th May, I heard something I'd never witnessed before...
Carrie was reading the sports news and accidentally Tulip(!) played 'Britain's Got Talent' over the speaking. She had the video playing on the PC but was unaware. So Carrie could hear the show over her voice but thought it was something Chris and the team were doing! Dave thought he may have accidentally done it. It was weird.

And just yesterday the team, especially Dave, thought the word "coin" was really weird if you say it a few times. Priceless!

Wasn't it Tulip that played it?

Any word is weird if you think about it. Think about the word "think". Think.

Think. Thinky thinky think think. Thhhhh Ink.

Weird. I need to lie down now.

It was Tulip. You can't have been listening all that closely if you hadn't realised that.

Funny... Yesterday, Friday 29th, the team phoned Dominic to see how the family were doing, congratulate the birth of the new baby and discuss the naming of the new girl. It was funny when Chris said, "wooah, wait, what about my congratulations?"
Dom replied, "oh Chris, great... on, oh, for for what?"
Chris said, "I found the charger for my new i-phone the other day!" ... "I haven't got a name for it yet though."

I thought Moyles fans amongst fellow fans would be kinder instead of picking at technicalities more than enjoying the show. I am happy to say that I am a fan of the show and enjoy it even though I may miss bits because I am always doing three things at once while I listen. I may be wrong in saying Jon Culshaw was on the show in 2004. It may well have been 2002 but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. I joined 'Moylesworld' (as it was called) in 2001 and have loved the show before that. So be fans and quote cool bits of the show.

We will - you're topic has potential to work - I quoted something that made me laugh the other day in another thread so it makes sense to have a thread like this. Don't worry about it staying on topic though, when it goes off on a tangent, it will get brought back on line again.

Get in the shower and have a think about the day ahead.
Make a lovely slice of toast, the first thing that you eat,
Unless like Rachel you suffer from an intolerance to wheat.
Three days down, two more to go, hurry hurry ding dong
Jump up and down (unless you're driving) it's the Thursday Cheesy Song!

Did you know that Thursday is named after Thor?
Who was a God, in days gone by, of thunderbolts and war.
Nowadays, it's 'giro day', if you are signing on.
Get that cheque cashed and rejoice with the Thursday Cheesy Song!

Brilliant. :D

Why would you think that? I'm a fan of Chris Moyles, not you.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you and if I was better at this kind of thing I'd be in here quoting (I will when my brain works) - but quite why any of that should indicate that we must all like each other I can't imagine. I mean how could anyone possibly like Topher?!

Yes Johnny 1989, as listeners to the show - some people many many years - it's great to reminisce about the old classic moments. And what is amazing is the originality still today!

Nice lyrics foot-loose of Thursday's Cheesy Song. Friday's was good too...

It might be very early but there is some good news
It is the last day of the week so tomorrow you can snoo-ooze
Tonight you can head into town or go and see you mates
You can do whatever you want, that's why Fridays are so great
We hope you've had a pleasant week and it hasn't felt too long
Whichever way just sing about through the Friday cheesy song
The Friday cheesy song, the Friday cheesy song, the Friday cheesy song!
Good morning from the Chris Moyles Show, good morning from the Chris Moyles Show, good morning from the Chris Moyles Show

I wish that every morning could feel like Friday
Your worries would evaporate, all the bad stuff would go away
We love doing the show for you right here on Radio 1
Grab someone that's close to you and sing the Friday cheesy song...
The Friday cheesy song, the Friday cheesy song, the Friday cheesy song!
Good morning from the Chris Moyles Show, good morning from the Chris Moyles Show, good morning from the Chris Moyles Show
International Radio 1

To clear with Yudster what I mean by comments being kinder, a fansite has people liking one main interest, therefore comments should be positive, talking about the common interest. Negativity from posters like raising technicalities doesn't belong in a topic celebrating a funny show. I don't know anyone here personally but I do like them because they also like The Chris Moyles show.
I would never say your avatar is as ugly as your personality. :? And I wouldn't say anyone here is not a fan like you claim I am not a fan. :( I hope your back feels better after a night's sleep. And if people can't be nice I'll enjoy the show as usual and say goodbye to Admin Chris and this great fansite.

She didn't say you weren't a fan :)

To be honest, if you're looking for a 'nice' forum then I'd go to Unofficial Mills. However, constantly pretending to be nice to everyone does get a bit tedious after a while, and this forum is all the better for it. The same applies to Chris Moyles' personality.

Stick around a bit* and I'm sure you'll get a good idea of what this place is like. Once you've found your ground you'll probably see it's a much more interesting place to be! That's what I did.

* I realise you've been registered since 2001 but I'm assuming you haven't been on the forums much.

Oh for *'s sake get off your high horse. If you've got that much of a problem with the forum don't log on, it's that simple. Otherwise quit whining.

Sorry if it's harsh (actually I'm not, I don't know why I wrote that), but I can't understand why people complain about this kind of stuff. It's an internet forum, they're not in a real room, nobody's forced them to be here, nobody's forcing them to stay here.

The internet is a BIG place. If you don't like this bit, find a bit you do. Or build your own. If you've got a problem, solve it - don't just sit on your arse and moan about having a problem. Nobody's interested.

What an odd thing to say to a fan of the show. You think I'm going to accept that comment? I'd be wrong not to shout it down.

She was making the point that she's here because she's a fan of Chris Moyles and not necessarily a fan of you.

Yuds wasn't saying you weren't a fan. In fact quite the opposite. The point was (and feel free to correct me if I've got this wrong) that what brings us together is our appreciation of the man. That doesn't mean we have to agree on everything.

See, I did try to tell him to seek help when his team went down. Like they say, it's not a matter of life or death 'it's much more important than that', same could be applied to CMS I suppose. So, we've learned that, never jump from one thing you're passionate about to another, would be like being on the rebound.

Still, could be worse, he could've turned to alcohol or gambling like my dad through worrying about his job and whether he'll keep it, £30 on Man U to win is solving nothing in these hard times.

Alreet, anyway, I feel another upload coming on, by way of keeping this thread afloat. (If only to keep our Geordie aquaintance sane..)

I decided to clip the Carrie horse thing from Tuesdays show. Also includes the Cheesy song.
