The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

In principle I agree, however desperate times etc...

I'd like to see Kenny Everett come back and bitch slap one or two of them as well. Not for any particular reason, but hearing Aled's reaction when Kenny suddenly appears on the Surgery would be priceless.

I think people were opposed to Colin because Steve Lamacq was very popular, and rightly so - his show was very good. Gradually, people started realising Colin was good as well, but Nick Grimshaw just isn't.

Steve Lamacq supports the best football team too. Well, when I say the best........

I assume Grimshaw attracts listeners / viewers or he would have been dropped. Judging by what I saw of Sound, he's aimed at the mid to late teen market. Is this the normal demographic of that show's listeners, or are they attempting to rebrand the timeslot for a new audience? I suspect the second option, which would be a crying shame.

I suspect the same. Mainly because the late-night shows rarely got plugged on the daytime shows, as they probably didn't appeal to the daytime listeners. When did you last hear a trail for...Goldfinger, Kissy Sell Out or Friction and Nihal played during the day? Suddenly Grimshaw gets added to the daytime trails...with that awful 'Get up with Moyles, go home with Mills, go to bed with Grimshaw' new tagline.

Bah. I retract my earlier statement. Bring on the Zombie Peel!

It downloads fine for me - are you sure you've got the correct code?

Its a recurring problem some people have apparently. I checked the comments page for the IPlayer downloader, some people cannot download certain programmes, while others can. No idea why it happens though. I can't download any Radio 1 shows, but the 6 Music shows download fine! :S

I heard Greg play a few clips at about 6.20 this morning and from those, I wouldn't advise that you try to overcome your reluctance.

I thought I heard his annoying, grating voice this morning! I couldn't work out why though.

Ah that sort of explains it then, I can't download Chris' Friday show either, yet yesterday was fine. Marc Riley is another one that 98% I can't download either so I've kind of given up with his.

I'll try & record 26/5/09 manually tonight, if I can get on the computer, if not then it'll just be 12 shows that I need to edit.

Listening back to this morning's show - Moyles said he heard Grimshaw last night and it was good, but then talked about them doing Rob da Bank's Monday Night Pub Quiz. I can't work out what he's really thinking.

I switched on at about 11:40 last night. He was playing The Killers - Read My Mind.

I switched off.

I heard a little bit when in the car last night, til I realised it was Grimshaw.

Can't even remember what he was talking about - made that much of an impression

I like that song, but I understand why you turned it off, you tuned in for specialist songs not playlist.

I never got round to taping the 26/5/09 show unfortunately however I managed to get 12 shows & should be editing them in the near future :D
