Again, haven't seen it myself but several people I know have now raved about it. Must make time to go see it.

Actually, I say make time, I've got time. It's the girlfriend who always seems to be working when I've got the time. You'd think nightshift would help matters, but no...

Night at the Museum 2 does the practically impossible and improves on the original... Good, fun family film. Which is why I went on my own, obviously.

Ha, fair enough. Again, I just thought it was good fun. Not a classic by any stretch, but certainly not garbage. I didn't mean practically impossible because the original was so good, I was referring to the widley accepted viewpoint that very few sequels improve on the originals.

Godfather II, Star Trek II, Toy Story II, Star Wars II(V), Terminator II... can't remember the rest.

I'd like to see Night at the Museum sequel. I admit to liking the first one. Although my Dad is a curator, so anything that sends them up is usually enjoyable for me (and him). :)

I don't agree with Terminator either and yes there are a few, but it tends to be quite rare.

As for Star Wars, to quote Randy Meeks, "not a sequel, part of a trilogy, completely planned".

For the record, I've never actually seen any of the Terminator movies. I mentioned T2 because I kept hearing it was the best, but I now see that's not a universal opinion.

This amused me: Sequel Titles.

T2 was a better film, although T3 was not. Dark Knight is an obvious better sequel.

I really don't agree, it was a good film, but i would never say it was better. It had a very different dynamic, T1 was basically a chase movie when T2 was a classic action movie. T1 is much more intense while T2 has a stronger sense of dark humour running through it. Similar to Alien and Aliens I suppose.

I never saw Aliens (or the other twenty sequels) - I found the first one boring enough.

Aliens is a million miles away from Alien. Brilliant film.

Transformers 2 - I went to see it last night and really enjoyed it, General consensus among the group of people I went with was that it wasn't as good as the first film and that it was a bit too long but thought it was pretty good, Some good funny parts, good new characters, CGI was good and to top it off Megan Fox was, erm, 'doing some good acting' and was very hot (in terms of attractiveness not temperature...)

The Hangover - really funny without having any stand out lines that the kids will be boring each other with in playgrounds.

Agreed! Its now one of my personal favourite comedy films! - if not right at the top spot!)
I think for quite a bit of the film I had that 'what the hell will happen next?!' feeling - which is a nice change from predicting what will happen :)
