Ed Pummelon wrote:I think they film it on the Wednesday or Thursday.

Clarkson said it was the Wednesday when he was on the Moyles show.

Following the media carry on a few months ago, I wouldn't be surprised if every guest this series walks in dressed as the Stig. All they need to do to keep the 'magic' alive is to interview Ben Collins with someone else dressed as Stig sitting next to him.

Yudster wrote:Oh for goodness sake - did no - one notice that there was no "guest" last night? I can't believe that people actually think Schumacher is Stiggy. I could tell when he walked into the studio, the walk and posture, his whole demeanour, was completely wrong. And you could see the side of his neck before he took the helmet off - you never see a fraction of an inch of Stig's skin.

I don't know if that's wholly true, apparently in the past it's been deciphered that he's a white male with dark hair, but that's all they new. That's what's been seen through the gap between his helmet and overalls.

The credits actually listed Michael Schumacher as the guest.

Yes that's what I meant! He must have been the guest, because otherwise there was no guest!

True. In the credits they had 'The Stig' along with the other presenters. The 'guest' was listed as Schumacher. Two different people.
They even said he wasn't the Stig at the end of the episode! I really don't get why people still believe he is.

Aww, he wasn't the stig after all? I think it'd be so cool, if he was secretly the Stig the whole time! ^_^
Shame on me, though... I didn't actually realise it was Michael Schumacher until my flabbergasted cousin yelled, "MICHAEL SCHUMACHER'S THE STIG?!?!!11!!one1?!"

(I was hiding at the time. I didn't want the secret of The Stig to be taken from me. They already took Santa. *sniffles*)

When they were sitting in the office talking about insurance at the beginning of tonights episode, did anyone notice The Stig photocopying his head in the background?

I never noticed that. Re-watching it now on iPlayer, and it makes me wonder how I could have missed it..

I did. And the photo of Will Young on Jezza's desk. And the tooth whitener on Hammond's.

There was also a picture of the Queen on May's desk, and a picture of (who I presume was) Kristin Scott Thomas and an Uzi on Clarkson's desk. There were also some gold bars in the background, which I presume was a joke about how much Top Gear costs, or something.

I saw the Stig, the gold bars and the Will Young pic, but not the rest.

Nearly spat out my drink several times at last nights episode, funniest for a little while I think - Jezza sliding into the field and May's attempt at creeping up the drive only to have his stereo switched on - brilliant!!

I wonder how many outraged column inches there'll be today about the lorry / taxi driver and prostitutes joke? I seem to remember a certain Mr. Moyles getting grief for daring to treat lorries and prostitutes in a less than serious way...

Jezza seemed to be on some sort of mission with the amount of comments he made!!

One of my favourite comments was Richard Hammond, on the phone to the insurance company... "No, no accidents in the last 5 years".

Heh. Iphones now have GayDar.

But seriously how does that work? Legally to find the GPS location of someone you have to first send a request which has to be approved by the stalkee before the location is released to you. Even so, you have to pay quite a price for the license of this application. This was certainly the case up to a year ago when I was looking to find out what my wife got up to. : )

I got the impression that it told you how far away the other person is, not exactly where they are, therefore you don't need to ask them for their permission to get their location, because you're not technically getting their location. Depending on how it works, the program would either upload your current co-ords to a central database, which other iPhones can check against (and get only a distance in return) or the programme can send your co-ords directly to another iPhone, and that would work out the distance and send it back - there's no need for permissions at all in that case because you are sending them your location.

On the same theme, many apps ask you if you will allow it to use your location when you first launch them.

I don't know, but it last week it led me to discover that I have a fellow gay living within 500ft. He is Fred, Asian and is "into chat". He could be into a lot worse than that!

*BUMP*

Cracking way to come back for the show, I love the new 'serious' edge, it's not changed that much really, it's on top form.

Looking for it on the iPlayer tells a different story though, they obviously thought a picture of Johnny Yawn would be appropriate? Of all the pictures they could've used!
