Today's stream seems to be having problems, too - they really need to sort it out.

Is the re-encode you mention the MPEG on archive.org? It's listed on the site but doesn't seem to be downloadable at the moment, are you still upping it? EDIT: Scratch that, I think the site's having problems.

I agree they need to sort this out. They had issues with the streaming at the Big Weekend as well, although that time they said it was because of a satellite going down if I remember. I'd have thought these tech issues should have been ironed out in the pilot.

Try Megaupload at off-peak times if you can. I just downloaded 500MB in 4 minutes (16mbps). Otherwise, you'll just have to be patient. Unless someone has a faster host, that is.

You're right - I've only been able to try it in the evenings until today, but I'm just trying it now and I'm getting around 1MB/s which is much more like it. I'm still finding Rapidshare much quicker, but that seems to be going out of fashion these days.

I'd say give Monday's show a try as that seemed to be the (technically) most complete show so far. I found the issues on the others make the show a real chore to watch and badly detracts from my enjoyment of the show, it's not any of the cappers fault, its cause the stream is so crappy. The other problem is, if you just listen to the show they constantly talk about the camera's, which is incredible infuriating as you feel like your missing out, so you lose out either way at the moment unfortunately... :(

I wonder if any of the team actually know about the issues raised here? I can't believe they haven't got a video on demand service, if I could point out the clear issues (in the other thread) to the live streaming, then I'm sure they're more then qualified to spot them.

I tried Rapidshare, but I think it has a 200MB limit per file, and it's too much of a pain for people to reconstruct the files. I don't want the hassle.

Matt seems to spend rather a lot of time in that part of the studio. Some might say he was trying to get in shot, but of course I'd never be that cynical ;) . In a rather more alarming turn of events, I actually quite like those shoes 8O. Any special reason why CM was sitting down today, it doesn't happen often?

Anyway, thanks as always for the cap Neil, great work.

The hydraulic desk is broked.

No problem, my pleasure. I laughed really hard at the show today, I think it was a really good one, and the video really added to the enjoyment, so please...enjoy!

neilt0 you're doing a great job of getting the webcasts up - thank you very much! and keep up the good work :)

I noticed a bit of a button pushing error in this mornings show - 2:11 in and they put the 'The Chris Moyles Show starting shortly...' screen up instead of 'back in a moment', then it goes on to change at around 2:16, gives a nice little insight to how I think they may run that little bit of the visualisation - I believe they use a dvd to show the screens like the 'Starting shortly' one and queue them up before they fade to them so we don't normally see the screen at 2:16 which looks to be a dvd menu screen with 4 'chapter' options including the ones for Zanes show - I found it interesting at least :)

Oh I'm also a fan of VLC - speeding up to 1.5x and 2x speed, entertains me for a little while at least anyway :)
