I am glad thats not just me! It has to be spread to every corner, otherwise it's just dry bread.

Another thing that bugs me - people (mainly chavs) who are out in public with shit music playing from their phone out loud. I don't want to hear their music. I am not into Dizzie Rascle bollocks thanks! keep it to your self, and on that note, people on the train who have it up to loud in their headphones so I can hear it. I always make sure no one can hear mine, I turn it up a bit when the train is moving and right down when it is stopped.

My housemate doesn't spread to the edges and it drives me crazy! He butters in a sort of circular motion. No matter how many times I comment on it, or ask him if the margarine's on ration, he still keeps doing it...

I agree about the music on mobile phones as well...another example of complete lack of consideration for others. I've seen little kids do it with their parents there with them, which horrified me. Why are they not teaching them any better? Argh.

Cyclists who don't understand how to cycle on the public highway correctly shouldn't be allowed to do so. And before you bleeding heart brigade get going, bad cycling causes far more accidents to cyclists than bad driving does. Bearing in mind that none of them ever seem to want to give any indication as to what their intentions are, its surprising more of them don't get squashed really.

Oh, and while we are on cyclists - anyone who isn't a professional cyclist who wears "professional" type cycling gear. Lets face it, most of the people you see wobbling around on bikes really shouldn't be going anywhere near lycra at the best of times.

My favourite is those who, when there's a red traffic light & a green man, they continue at speed, nearly knocking over pedestrians & then blame you for "* getting in their way", also another trend here in shitty, shitty Ilford is that most of the brain dead morons ride on the pavement, whilst spitting, stupid ignorant *.

The thing is those people might be disabled or something, just cos they don't look it doesn't mean they aren't...

anyway...people who, when waiting to board a bus, train or tram, try to push their way on as soon as the doors open, rather than standing aside to allow the people getting off to get out the doors. SO RUDE. It's just lack of manners in general really - we live in a 'me me me' culture these days, and good manners are dying out, which horrifies me. Half the stuff I see kids do with their parents in attendance allowing it to happen, my mother would slap me round the head for (even now).

I purposely stand rigid, if I'm at the front of the crowd waiting to get on a train, when people start pushing me from behind to get on whilst people are still trying to board, wait for 10 seconds you impatient *.

However I dislike this trend of pushchairs been left up on buses & trains, in rush hour but with no kid in them because the kid can actually walk about now. One bus driver told a girl to fold up her pram because the bus was full and already had two prams on it, she refused, barged her way on the bus, which meant the bus driver opened his doors & turned off the engine. She refused to budge & only did when she saw another bus in the distance, the selfish *.

Again, the darling little angels from secondary school (read that as wasters who will probably be working in McDonalds when they leave school) have their trip-hip-hop'N'B (or whatever nonsense is coming from their phones) blaring out a a full distorted volume. What make sit worse is that a lot of the time it's tuneless shite with endless "*" "sung" throughout the song, which is a nice for for a fellow passenger, who is a pensioner or a mother with their 2 year old child.

Yes, apologies I was a bit sweeping there re McDonald's workers, one of my friends is very good at his job (he's doing it as a part time job whilst at uni) and is out of the country for a large part of the year as he's learning languages (Spain last year, Germany this year), he ends up filling in for absent staff in 5-6 different branches. However the staff in my local are rather rude & are the same people as you mentioned, with the mobile phones.

I live in such a crap hole of a town I really do.

Did anyone read the news story today about the teenagers who attacked the woman with bleach after she shushed them in the cinema? I was horrified by it. Another, albeit extreme, example of young people with no thought or concern for anyone but themselves.

To go back to the lift discussion - there are far far far too many people in my building who get in the lift on the ground floor then get out at level 1 or 2. Now, fair enough if the lift happens to arrive when they are passing, but seriously - IT'S ONE FLIGHT OF STAIRS! They stand and wait and munch on their chips then make the damn thing stop at every bloody level. I work on the top floor.

Lazy shits.

I was turning right at one point in my car and I saw a cyclist actually pedalling on opposite side of the road so I thought I'd wait to let them past first before turning, only for them to stop pedalling and just coast past at there own pace and not even say thank you. Wish i'd cut them up now!

Oh and in London, not sure if it's just Fenchurch Street, but cyclists appear to be exempt from the red light rule at traffic lights. They appear to be able to cycle straight throught then shout obscenities at anyone who was crossing in their way!

Cycle rant over......for now!

Apologies Boboff it is a bad habit of mine I have tried to cut back on the multi quoting, it's all to do with another forum I'm part of that because of the fast post rate I end up quoting loads of posts in one posting. Keep forgetting the traffic on here isn't as busy as it is on the other forum. :)

I've thought about this and decided that you are right.

Boboff - it makes sense to quote the post you are discussing, otherwise the discussion could either move onto a new page or someone could reply prior to you hitting "submit" on your own post. That combined with the stoopid "no editing" rule we have in this forum means that, in my opinion, it makes sense to quote the post you are replying to.

I tend not to quote the post I am replying to if it is the one directly above the post i am posting. However then if someone else is posting as I am posting, the post I am posting which should be (to make sense) directly the below the post i am posting in reply to, might have a random post above it, which would mean that I probably should have quoted the post I am posting a reply to.

It's not a biggy, but if that happens you do get a warning that this has happened, allowing you to then rejig your post to include a quote.

It just seems overkill to always quote the post right above your reply.
