When I heard he's died, I didn't recognise the name. Well, I did, but not that John Hughes. But it's amazing how many of his films I've not only seen, but really enjoyed.

It was pretty much my favourite movie to watch at the weekend. Sure, it was another franchise that suffered from the old American adage of "if something's worth doing, it's worth doing to death and beyond" but the original was a classic kids movie.
And it wasn't the only classic he was responsible for. So this is definitely an "oh no" from me.
