Jo whiley is a brutal presneter her interiew style is crap and shes a moany cow on her handovers yesterday was a typical example. Can't wait for her to leave. (second Jo whiley rant done)

That was the first thing that i thought about when this was announced.There was a big deal when Fearne & Reggie took over the chart show and started their Saturday afternoon show which was about how they were the future of Radio 1because they were young along with other DJs such as Grimmy and Greg James. There was a stumbling block straight away when she couldnt do the Saturday show for a few months because she was presenting the X Factor spin off and it seems like she's on and off ever since. It's only two afternoons a week and she still can't manage it! How the hell does she expect to cope with 5 days worth of shows!

Jo on the other hand is usually a very good DJ and does a steller job on her show, but there are times when she can be really annoying especially during some interviews as it does seem to make quite uncomfortable listening for example that Arctic Monkeys interview the other day

It will be a sad day, the day she leaves radio one. I remember when she first joined Radio One with Steve Lemack to do the evening session taking over from Mark Goodier each evening around 1993! Good times.

The trouble with Whiley going is that there are no other DJ's at the moment who are standout enough to take over the mid morning slot. Cotton will appeal to the "younger" listeners which is the BBC policy for Radio 1 (isn't it) and if she keeps the Live Lounge and gets shot of changing tracks then i will give it a listen.............. With my finger paused over the Play button if she gets to "cringeworthy"
