Place your bets here on when Fearne Cotton will take her first day off from her new show.I think it wil be one day next week.(Im told sARA cOX HAS BEEN PUT ON A PERMANENET STATE OF STANDBY).She will make an extra effort to do a whole first week ,but I could be wrong. So when do you all think Fearne will take her first sickie/holiday/work leave day?

ps I didnt hear Fearne or Gregs first shows today.were they any good?

Dont know, dont care. I got as far as 3 songs and the first link before i felt like killing myself, so switched her off. Looks like it will be Radio 2 or five live from 10am for me , then back to Radio 1 for Greg.

No, Fearne was as truly awful as she always is. People say that Jo Whiley tries too hard to be cool but Cotton is on another level all together. Her interview with The Saturdays with cringeworthy and not in a Sara Cox kind of way(!) With any luck they'll replace her at Christmas with someone else (A 1xta DJ would be an improvement).

Greg James was OK, nothing special but not unlistenable.

... and the crap-spouting continues (I know I shouldn't be surprised - i'm just eternally optimistic!) ...

I listened to about 20 minutes of Greg James and during that time he named the Muse album track he played as "Undiclosed Recipients", and after playing the future Dizzy single informed the listeners that it sampled "Dirty Cash by The Adventures of Stevie G".

Is there some sort of wacky Greg James feature I'm unaware of where we have to spot his deliberate mistakes, or was he just being * ?

It could be a new feature for Greg, I remember a DJ doing that years ago (either Steve Penk or Pat "Woo-Woo" Sharp, when they were on Capital.
