Chris Moyles ex manager, someone called Brunio Brookes ,has said that Chris should quit Radio one within a year before people get bored with him.He says it would be a tragic waste of talent if he waited another couple of years when his audience might be plummetting and its better to quit whiile ahead. What do you make of this astonishing attack by Bruno Brookes (who claims to be a personal friend of Moyles)? Is there any sense in what hes saying? Anyone agree with him even? http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/micha ... x-manager/
Unfortunataly the article is very anti-Moyles and uses some very abusive language, which I think is uncalled for.Esp as Chris has lost alot of weight lately
PS before some smart as s says it,no I am NOT Bruno Brookes either

He's too yobbish for Radio 2? I imagine if he moved to Radio 2 he'd change the way he approached the show, for a start I'd imagine he'd play more 80's & 90's music than he currently can & I imagine there'll be a lot more music. Failing that, he'd fit in well at 6Music, if Jon Holmes can so can he.

Unfortunately Torygraph readers are stuck in a one track mind and just think he's remained the same for all these years, they never change do they.

The most memorable thing about Bruno Brookes is that he used to go out with - and was spectacularly dumped by - Anthea Turner, around the time she was a Blue Peter presenter I believe.

Nuff said?

"Someone called Bruno Brookes". Ha. Truly the words of a person too young to remember the time when all R1 DJs had permatans and mullets...

 I remember them, here's a few example of those "classic cuts" from the late 80's/early 90's, warning you may have nightmares after looking at these.

 Poor sod, Davidson is a complete twat in my opinion

Culshaw's is brilliant, I imagine Moyles has already seen it and mocked him for it a few years back, although his Capital one is just as bad, although it's the pose rather than the hair:

It does intrigue me where Moyles will go next, I've never really felt he would fit at Radio 2 or 6Music and somewhere like Absolute will be a bit low key for him.

It would never happen, but I would love to see him back on afternoons.

If it meant the demise of Scott Mills I would like that too.

Classic FM's national licence comes up for renewal in 2011 and is theorically open to outside bidders, so an assumption that Classic FM could just continue unchallenged would be wrong.

Back in February The London Paper reported that Richard Branson may be interested in acquiring this licence and launching a new Virgin Radio. The national commercial FM licences must be distinctly different from the BBC's national radio output, but I did have the thought that should the potential new licencee move away from classical music this could feasibly be a future home for Moyles.

There is still a while yet before this licence is assigned, if at all depending on Ofcom's future plans for FM licences.

Just thought i'd throw it out there - pure speculation - totally talking out my ass - but something to consider as and when he moves on - but for now, like millions of others, i'm enjoying the show and looking forward to at least another 10-11 months of it.

Well yes it is pure speculation, but its interesting to have a little more understanding of what might transpire with the FM licence situation in the future. I for one had no idea that things were arranged like that, it opens up a whole new arena of possibilities for radio as a whole, not just the possible speculative future of Chris Moyles!

I can't believe that they will take away the licence from the broadcaster of the only (I think it is? Radio 3 do it, but also do other types of music don't they?) national classical music station though?

this would be an ok schedule...

6.30am-Fearne and Reggies breakfast show

10am-Scott Mills

1pm-Greg James

3.30pm-Chris Moyles

7pm-Zane Lowe

what do you think? would be geat to have Chris on afternoons again!(assuming he gets fed up with the early rises of course)
