Chris said on air today he has 2 weeks off soon.Since he mentioned last friday that he wil be in Abu Dabi for the grand prix on november 1 im assuming it will be the last week in october and first week in november.Scott Mills will probably do the whole 2 weeks this time .Would you prefer Vernon to fill in for him though?

I enjoyed listening to Vernon when he covered previously for Chris and liked how he tends to leave the structure of the show as it is and just goes with the flow.

Whereas Scott always makes it his own, I'm not saying I don't like Scott and his show, but I much prefer Chris.

I think Chris has been working pretty hard recently and is certainly due his break with working on the new CD. I'll stop now cos i'm going off topic.

This kind of brings up the debate, when a DJ covers a fellow DJ's show, should they keep the format of that show, or bring their own style to the show.

As previously mentioned by nade, Scott brings his own style to the whole show, whereas Vernon sticks with Chris' more chat less music.

I am. I would prefer if Scott Crap Mills was never allowed anywhere near the radio at all, let alone the breakfast show. He's awful. I would prefer Vernon, he is relaxed and spontaneous on air and that's what I enjoy. Mills can't even get out of bed without a script.

Its a really hard life being Chris Moyles and his gang, getting up at 6 and being home by 11 5 days a week must be a killer!
It makes my blood boil when Nurses complain about their 60 hour weeks, they are so selfish! Poor Chris and his team work their socks off and fully deserve their 12 weeks holiday a year.

I for one am grateful for their efforts and endeavours and I am so happy that I can contribute to their well deserved high salaries by paying my licence fee.

Come on Nurses, you have it easy!

Scott,Chappers and Becky piss all over Moyles and his gang,I say long may the holiday last!

If this is your view, why are you on a Chris Moyles fan forum and not on unofficialmills.co.uk pray tell?

(Scratch that, we call all answer that ourselves - posting on a fan forum for something you actually like doesn't wind anyone up, therefore offers no amusement to you.)

The fact that you like Scott Mills over Chris Moyles (and Becky over Rachel for that matter) indicates that you are under the age of 14.

It indicates I have taste and dont find puerile humour particularly funny.
His humour is based largely on taking the piss out of someone and knob jokes.....all very schoolboy stuff, but still like the shows first 45 minutes.

As for preferring Becky over Rachel!! dont even get me started!

I would say it indicates the exact opposite of that entire statement.

I would say you are wrong and to be honest I would be right!

But to be fair I dont listen to Moyles after 7.15 so maybe he becomes more high brow after that?

You didn't say those exact words, correct, but you're certainly not making yourself out to sound like a fan.

I don't mean this as an offence to Mills himself or other more deserving sufferers but after years of listening to him I really do believe he is suffering from high-functioning autism - in particular Asperger. He continually (and not conciously I'm sure) demonstrates a worrying pattern of symptoms ranging from obsessive behaviour right through many of his admitted social deficits. I know someone at this end of the spectrum and Mills just exhibits all these cues so clearly if you look for them, and more than any other broadcaster I've heard. However if his psychotic lack of self-awareness and his chasmic void of empathy is just a menacing act then he can fup right off. Either way we can be assured that he is safely holed up in the studio with responsible adults and not wandering around unsupervised. I see Chappers and Becky as his carers and the show as his therapy.

Well I was doing. Listen to his shows and watch those Hoff things he did. Over time you will pick up on the tiny but repeated aspects of his behaviour that are quite obviously abnormal and convincingly beyond an "I'm awkward me, lol" act. Sure, the correllation of my observations with researched findings are of course going to be subjective (as are they), but, when it comes to taking the piss I find him a slightly uncomfortable target. Ha, I'm sure my curiousity with his quirks are more a reflection on me instead. Ah well - 'Submit'.

Yes, chances are that he will, and that by the first Monday afternoon there will be a new six or seven-page long thread on this forum full of people expressing their hatred of Scott Mills, other people asking why they listen if they hate him so much, and then the former group responding that in fact they don't listen but just because they don't listen doesn't mean they can't express their hatred of Scott Mills.

In fact, perhaps this is that very thread, and it was deemed appropriate to start early this Autumn.

Hmm. I dunno, I guess I don't listen to/watch him enough to really agree or disagree with this. I have listened to his show, but decided quite a long time ago that I just don't like him and so haven't really paid attention to anything he's done since. So I'm not in a good position to comment. It's an interesting thought tho. Tons of people have varying forms of undiagnosed Asperger's and autism, or at least behaviours that are on the autistic spectrum.
