I'm looking for places to move, which are nearer to high wycombe (as the gf won't live in high wycombe - she works there and says it's a horrible place...well the ones in our price range) we're looking to rent - pay about 700pcm and amersham seems really good as it's near london and wycombe - but i don't know what it's like (ie. chavvy, posh, ethnic etc.) - anyone here have an idea? Many thanks :)

I know very little about it, but I believe it's a nice town. Anything's better than Bletchley...!

haha, well i live in bletchley and she lives in aylesbury - so short of moving to wycombe or luton there aren't too many steps down! (having said that, she lives in stone on the very outskirts of aylesbury in the more expensive part, and i live in far bletchley overlooking the golf course, so we're not exactly in bad areas!)

Well that's just because it's a small place and the station is probably only really used for commuters catching the tube or the train in. I bet that picture was taken about lunchtime.

i support boboff's theory. a still shot of an empty railway station means that it is rarely used and noone goes there.

in a similar vein, nothing happens in london, ever.

London always looks weird when it's empty, to me at least.

As far as I remember, Amersham is middle class, a bit stuffy but pleasant enough, and very very very very very expensive.

Sat and today are up
