I don't see what a book featuring a religious cult and a character called Isis Whit has anything to do with this thread though??
Oh, and unless I'm mistaken, this is a public forum, so unless the admin guys have a problem with it, I'll continue to discuss my consensus freely.
well my reference to the book was regarding your constant use of the word whit. it's a pretty easy conclusion to draw.
it is a public forum. We generally think dappy is a half whit apparantly. Before taking a general concensus and representing the forum's views directed to a CM team member, please take those who object to what you think into account as i wouldn't want such comments attributed to me.
Mocking the underclasses by using their dialect in a derogatory way isn't very effective and has the connotations of someone who knows nothing about them, picking up on a few phrases and repeating them for their own pleasure.
i'll be happy to discuss my concensus that you're slightly ignorant and enjoy laughing in those who you percieve to be below you, when in fact they're probably more savvy in their own industry than you are in your own - which is why they are a national act when they could have just ended up performing in SUs around london.
a) The book has no relevance to what we're discussing. The word Whit wasnt even used in the same context.. its used as a character's surname. To mention it is totally irrelevant and serves no meaningful point what-so-ever.
b) Unless I'm mistaken, I've read the 40+ posts within this thread and only 2 have suggested any kind of tollenerce to Dappy, Indeed many more have agreed he is irritating / annoying.. hence my use of the term 'general consensus'. NOT unanimous verdict.. General Consensus.
c) Are you seriously complaining about my jovial dig at the way Dappy speaks when he is trying soooooo hard to speak like an American gangsta / rasta in the first place, and nothing like how people speak where he actually comes from - Great Britain! I mean come on - this guy could be Tim Westwood's secret love-child.
d) Unless I'm mistaken and the quality of their gigs has improved in the last few months (and I may well be mistaken, as I dont follow them).. dont this 'national act' play in venues up and down the country such as Butlins??? Hardly the huge 'national act' you're suggesting.
e) I bet you have a Dappy poster on your bedroom wall, dont you? Go on, admit it..
Do you want me to e-mail you my new Dappy Av? You can use it if you like.
PS.. Mr Man Nips... How do I do the cleaver quoting were I quote parts of text and then reply to it??
