You are being madly picky about Wispa Gold but I definitely agree with you about dark chocolate Mars. The nougat bit is nicer, more white and fluffy - almost like marshmallow fluff.

Mostly. But dark mars somehow isn't.

They have Oreo cookie filling Kit Kats in Australia, apparently. Word is yet to come back on whether they are available in the States also (perhaps Sunny could confirm).

I think i hold resentment toward it, as for the first month or so it was out, i was being bombarded by people going on about how amazing they were, and the general idea of wispa's being so popular (when aero is superior) generally narks me. I imagined this chocolate that crumbled into your mouth with caramel slowly washing over it - this wasn't the case. Dark chocolate mars i've had before abroad (not sure where) and the nougat is the best kind of nougat there is :)

also, i still don't see any debate in twix vs kit kat

Dark chocolate is ok as long as it also has lots of sugar in it. Really good quality chocolate with a high snob-value has loads of cocoa which is good, but it has a low sugar content - I think that tastes horrible, its bitter and dry and it makes my mouth feel furry. People only like it because its expensive, and eating it makes them feel posh.

Well, some people might genuinely like it.. you never know. I don't though.

You're wrong, by the way. I wish it wasn't so darn expensive, but I guess it has to be because it's soooooo good. And I don't like chocolate with too much sugar. I think that's why American chocolate tastes wrong.

feel free to use that quote in any context.

Sucking chocolate warms it up too much, the best chocolate is always out the freezer.

This is what my future ex-missus insists on doing - putting chocolate in the fridge (not freezer though you mong)

The pleasure derived from eating chocolate is both taste and texture - innit? Most chocolates are designed to have melting points marginally above body (mouth) temperature to get that creamy/waxy melt over the tongue. Milk in chocolates have lower melting points to enhance this (but must also cater for storage temps.). Tastewise I find those high % content chocolate bars tend towards bitterness and are suspiciously marketed solely on their % purity as if that means anything. Try chewing on cacoa bean if you want 100% knobbishness- gahh-spit.

It's still better straight out of the freezer.

I didn't know Toblerones could get mouth ulcers.
