The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Nothing to see here again I see.

I love the comments from the morons who are hoping he gets taken off air becaus ethey dislike him, well guess what there's 10-30 other FM stations you could listen to so why not do that instead, or is everyone too lazy to retune their dials?

Carrie's pregnant? Congratulations to her :)

bradcali wrote:Well done to Carrie but they could have announced her pregnancy anytime in the past few weeks. Why today of all days? Good day to bury bad news perhaps?

Because maybe she only told them this morning? What's it to you anyway are you a fan of the show or not? Why do they NEED to mention any losses anyway, most DJ's don't mention when they lose listeners only when they gain them.

OMG surely you dont think Im one of those who w ant him taken off air? 8O Chris is different from most DJs.Thats why hes usually brave enough to talk about losing listeners. Its one of the reasons I listen to him every day and have done for over a decade.I wouldnt bother posting here if I didnt care about his future on radio one. There are a lot of sharks in the water at BBC HQ.Today they smell blood...Im just trying to put out a warning signal

Fair enough but the way your write sometimes Bradcali you give the impression that you hope they are going off air. Apologies if I got the wrong end of the stick but it does seem like that sometimes.

If anything all big Radio DJ's experience these little dips, Wogan has, I'm sure Tarrant did in his 17 year run (I take it Wogan won't beat his record now will he?) & I'm sure Johnny Vaughan also has, it's just the summer period where the Uni Students stay in bed until 2pm because they have no work to do ;)

You just spout shite continually, don't you? Why worry about something you have no control over? Out of interest, what do you do for a living? You write as if you're extremely knowledgeable about BBC sharks and the word knocking around Broadcasting House corridors, or, as I alluded to earlier, are you full of shite?

The majority of posters on here are to old to listen to the Moyles show anyway, its predominately aimed at 13-24 year olds.

There is one poster on here who should be listening to radio 4 in the mornings, something high brow for his superior intellect.
He knows who he is and I have no doubt he was bullied at school.

So do I. The only time I don't listen to the show in bed is when I'm waiting for or I'm on the bus. Before I get up on college days and on my days off I listen in bed. Thats most of the time for me . :)

I still see Radio 1 as a 15-30 year old station myself TBH, plus I don't see why Radio 1 insists on aiming for such a limited age range as 16-24 year olds anyway. They done this at Capital FM at the earlier part of this decade & it was a disaster, Capital FM in the 90's & up to (roughly) 2002 had DJ's that joined during the late 80's, were on air all throughout the 90's & were still liked by their audience, hell Margarita Taylor (who was at one time the youngest) is still there from the early 90's & is still their best DJ.

I just Radio 1 bosses need to get over this age limit thing, why are they so hell bent on doing it anyway, they've got the biggest audience they have in years why alienate a large part of it just because of some silly demographic. If they're getting the listeners then screw the age limit because as soon as you implement that too much the numbers will drop.

I don't feel alienated by it, or marginalised or anything, even though I am a loooong way outside the target demographic.

Everyone just calm down and take a breath.Think calm, blue oceans, rainbows and cute puppies. This dip happens every year in the summer for reasons that have already been explained in this thread. The show is still the best on our humble airwaves and we should just enjoy its genius. That is all.

Neither do I to be honest, although I've only just turned 26 apparently I'm outside their demographic, then again I'm outside Radio 2's demographic as well. I suppose technically 6 Music is where I fit in in their terms now but I like all three.

Actually, I don't believe you - but if it is true, you're going to be an absolutely awful one. Truly the worst kind imaginable.
