Get a roberts RD41 haha! I've got one for my 16th Birthday there actually not too bad although it can sometimes be very frustrating!

I never knew that you could either but It sounds useful so they should bring it back.

Put simply: No-one likes the use of 'text speak' on here and don't quote me but I belive it's under the rules not to use it.

does lol really count as text speak? i thought it was more the absence of vowels to make words shorter - whereas lol, wtf, lmao etc fall under the category of 'l33t speak' - language of t'internet and is generally accepted in small doses?

Chris, in the forum rules wrote:No 'txt speak' - please use proper English (this includes the prohibition of the phrases 'lol', 'end of' and 'Fact.')

As much as I agree and hate those phrases, they're not exactly text speak are they?

Whether they are text speak or not, they are lumped in with the list of prohibited phrases on this forum and that makes it a better place to visit as far as I'm concerned.

They are text-speak, but either way, they're still not proper English.

Leet-speak is something different altogether, and in no way is it the "language of t'internet", it's the 'language' of idiots and not acceptable in any dosage, however small.

I think that that falls under 'please use proper English'.
