Is there anyone out there who is geeky enough (and who has enough hard drive space) to own mp3's of some or all of the complete chris moyles shows going all the way back to the beginning? I tend to download the shows now, edit out all the news and music, and then listen to the whole show without interuptions, and it would be nice to be able to do the same with some of the older shows.

might do, depends on interest and time that i have to upload them.

I like listening to old news

I have several that need editing of which J.E.D. was going to kindly edit for me. Unfortunately my brothers PC currently hates any upload service so I can't give them to anyone to edit at present unfortunately.

I normally keep all the trailers & news bulletins in, when I edit the shows, purely because it "dates" the show & also reminds you (not always in a good way BTW) of what was happening in the world back then (hearing the words "Premier League" & "Leeds United" together always makes me chuckle)

See i tend to edit out the news and trailers unless there is something funny in them... but then that is just me i suppose.

The only problem i would have in uploading full shows for editing is that it takes so long to do so, then i'd have to wait for someone to edit it, re-upload, and then me download and I just don't have the time or the patience at the moment.

Plus it would totally screw up my continuity, I'm currently editing March 2008 (I know I'm way behind but I am gaining slowly) and to lose track of things such as Sport Relief and Chappers and Dave's run around the grounds would annoy me somewhat. Not that is a good reason not to do it, but that's just me.

Yeah I do the same...edit out the news unless they start messing around during it, then I'll leave that bit in. Of course it's quite easy to miss those bits if they are in the middle of the news, but there you go. This show is so great, my MP3 player never sees anything else.

I emailed Radio 1 asking them if they would be prepared to sell DVD's of audio files of all the breakfast shows going back to the beginning for a nominal fee, but I didn't get a reply :P Shame. Once Moyles and co call it a day I'd love to go all the way back to the beginning :D
