I head all the shiz about Debora being late, and heard it mentioned that she had finally got there, but then she wasn't on the show....

Did I miss something? Anyone know why she wasn't part of interview with John?

I've actually met Chris n shook his hand. This fact is still causing slight issues in my trouser dept.... :wink:

Maybe they binned her but didn't make a deal out of it?

Or she had a paddy and walked out after the whole "you're late, so you're not on thing"?

Either way Culshaw was brilliant. So good to hear him in the studio again, brings back so many memories. And I agree with Chris, he IS getting better and better. A few years ago he was clearly in the shadow of Bremner and McGowan - now he is better than either of them.

I still have Culshaw clips on my phone from the afternoon shows, he's fantastic. I agree with them, Debra Stephenson's Davina is excellent.

Growing up in Texas when the show Dallas was a hit, it made me nearly spit my coffee all over the dash of my truck when he did that impression of JR Ewing. Fuggin' classic!

I listened to the show yesterday.

Jon and Debra's call time was 7:45.

Jon arrived early.

Debra wasn't there at 7:45 and Chris talked about binning. Aled said they really usually waited until 8:00.

8:00 comes along and Chris plays sirens announcing Debra's been binned off.

8:07 "Is she here?"

Chris talks to Jon about the fact that Debra shouldn't have taken the tube, she should have got a car/taxi in. The he jokes about her taking a helicopter.

As they're talking, they see she's arrived (about 1/2 an hour late), and at about 8:14, Chris says "OK, let's bring her in".

[Crickets]

[Crickets]

I think Chris and Jon were slightly put off their stride, so I can only guess that Debra was in the Live Lounge either flicking the V's or walking out after hearing the ribbing from Chris. Maybe she was embarrassed, who knows?
