The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Not sure if this has been mentioned on the show as I haven't heard it the last couple of days, but Comedy Dave was the presenters friend on Richard Bacon's 5 Live show yesterday evening. Quite amusing.

Just happened to listen to it from midnight till 1am. He actually came across really well on the tricky little segment about donors rights etc.

Post 1230am however he came into his own I thought....though I'm not allowed to say why 8)

SHH!! You dont want to get a lifetime ban like Nick Nowles did.

Dont shush me!!! I chose my words very carefully. :D

Was half expecting to hear a Knowles-esque breaking of the rules on Radio1 yesterday morning!! They must have had Dave well briefed.

Bacon is gonna be a tough act to follow when he moves to afternoons. Certainly made the show his own.

Am I the only person here who has no clue what is being discussed here? It sounds fascinating, but I get the feeling that if I ask for it to be explained, I will be unlucky.......

Nope.

You can ask but we are not allowed to say, it would have major reprocussions for the reputation of CM.net.

I'd hazard a guess you have never listened to the full RB show. :D

I'd say that would be a pretty safe guess. His teeth annoy me too much.

Ok questions then - what station is Richard Bacon on and is there a listen again option? Would whatever you're going on about have been edited before being made available online?

Anyway, talking of Richard Bacon.
I loved the way this douce pronounced himself ''middle class'' on Radio 5 live the other day.
What an idiotic, narcissistic, pretentious moron.

I'm not sure what people think "middle class" is actually. Going by the accepted "class system" which used to operate in Britain then people like my friends Quinlan and Christine, and Mary and Nick, who are professional couples, very highly paid, from wealthy backgrounds with massive houses and public school (as opposed to merely independant/private school) educated children are middle class (if admittedly upper-middle). Richard Bacon, along with pretty much everyone else in Britain these days, seems to equate having a decent house, decent job, couple of cars and membership of the local golf club as being middle class. It really isn't.

They (theoretically) need to work too - therefore they are working class.

i see the point, but a mother who can stay at home and is being funded by her husband doesn't need to work, also that means classing the prime minister as working class, bill gates, premier league footballers etc. as they all do need to work, as the standard of living they are accustomed to will likely require a continued income.

however i could be wrong, and its just because i've been recently catapulted into a foul mood

I have always classed myself as working class, but Cat disagrees.

I don't know about that. I'm definitely economy-class.

I don't even know what that is, to be honest. I was referring to the 'working class; middle class; upper class' scale, which I find too basic.

He's referring to flying.
