The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Thanks for the lovely words.

It really was great fun on Monday, and hope it came across like that on the radio!

Having listened to Chris and the team, every morning without fail for several years, it has been a pleasure to have had a small involvement with the show over the past year.

It is very much like playing a small role within your favourite TV show, (a role that you never thought it would happen), but the key is to enjoy every single minute of it, as you never know when the next opportunity will arise!

Let's see the "Rob from Stoke" and "Claire from the Shetlands" weekly feature in 2010!

Maybe they could replace Angelo...the losing-weight-except-not-actually-losing-anything-much bloke.

Did Angelo's wife have her baby during the show today?

I really like Angelo, I always like hearing their conversations with him - he doesn't seem to lose a hell of a lot though, does he? I don't think she had the baby while they were on the air, but I didn't hear the last bit.

Longman was such a tool. Bring him back, they need someone to really rip into again.

aye, fincham seems to have shy'd away from being on air (and i think he's got a few other projects in radio 1 as well) and appears to genuinely dislike, or be fed up with the copious on-air ribbing he gets (only based that he's not featured centrally for a while, apart from his grandma - and that he seemed to have a bit of sass about him when he was referred to as tea boy by zane) and aled bashing has run it's course for now.

Angelo's lost five stone you numpties.

His wife was in labor at 7.30 this morning.

All the best.

He does seem to lose it very intermittently, but like you say, 5 stone in just a year is pretty amazing.

5 stone? Wow.

He really seemed to slow down after the summer though. Perhaps the novelty of being on the show (the pressure of which could be seen as a real incentive) wore off, or things just got too busy with preparing for the baby?

Exactly. I realise he's lost a lot in total, but whenever I hear him it always seems to be "I've stayed the same" or "I put a pound back on". I know losing weight is an intermittent thing, but it just makes it a boring feature.

I loved the fact that he seemed to be aware of that, but didn't care.

I remember thinking that the pictures on his myspace page looked like most of the nights out I've been on :)

And the answerphone message sounded familiar too :D

I do still think "Dominic the Christmas horse" when I hear it thanks to his answerphone messages.

Bring back Celebrity Tarzan! :D

I think you all hated it here, but I actually really liked it as a feature, it was infuriating but when someone got it right it was brilliant.

If not Celebrity Tarzan, I do think they need some kind of new random feature in the 7:30/8am post-news slot, and not some crappy corporate BBC Switch ticket give away so the supposed target audience can go and see Alexandra Burke, Mr Hudson or N-Dubz for free...

Did anyone hear the Angelo feature this morning? It was winding up just as my radio came on and I had the feeling Chris had just mentioned us (or listeners in general) complaining that he hadn't made enough effort, but that might just have been my sleep-induced imagination.

From What I recall someone called Kevin (I think) text in & said something along the lines of "This feature is boring, he's hardly slimmer of the year anyway" Of which Chris promptly pointed out that he had lost 5 Stone.

Chris:
"Robert Downey Junior's left you a message"

Angelo couldn't have cared less if he tried, bless him! Wonder if he'll keep the weight off over xmas, or wonder if we'll never know? I hope we won't, best of luck to him though.
