It's worth adding that the murderer, Nathan Gale, also killed three other people, including the band's head of security and an audience member who tried to perform CPR on Dime. Gale was then shot dead by an attending police officer, who received an official commendation. Gale was found to still have 35 rounds of ammunition remaining. I know this is about people I've never met and was thousands of miles away from, but just revisiting the details makes me well up - so sad.

Apparently he was mentally disturbed. There are many stories about why he did it ranging from him believing that Pantera were stealing his thoughts to him saying they'd stolen songs he'd written.

A lot of celebrities have died, yes. I'm not sure that this in and of itself makes it a "shit year" though. I'm not saying it hasn't been a shit year, but I can think of loads of more pressing reasons for it than the death of a few people I've heard of but never met, none of whom are leaving any of their fortune to me in their will.
Sad, yes, but in a detached kind of way.

Oddly enough I just checked when he last logged on & there's no date just a "-" & his Avatar and Sig picture have disappeared as well, what the smeg is going on?

Having said that though, several have disappeared of recent Bradcali (although that's not necessarily a bad thing ) & TIAL who was helping edit the old Moyles shows for me but seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.

There's a couple of others that have suddenly stopped posting as well, not that I'm suggesting they've pegged it but they've just suddenly "gone".
