What's been your highlight of the decade? Getting an intrest in radio and getting an FM show.

Favourite film of the decade? Difficult, maybe Slumdog Millionaire, but Danny Boyle as a director is great got any film.

Favourite song/album of the decade? The Parody Album :) Seriously, I'm a big fan of non-cheesy poppy stuff like The Hoosiers so maybe the trick to Life but more mikey X&Y by Coldplay.

Biggest event of the decade? Not for me personally but for the world 9/11.

Ha... beat me to it as I just posted about this decade in another thread!

Okay, highlight of the decade... I can't pick. This decade has seen me graduate uni, get a job, actually get a girlfriend for the first time (took me long enough) and eventually get engaged, buy my own flat then later a house and some other stuff I probably can't remember right now. The football this decade has been a massive improvement on the 90s (Celtic had an awful 90s) - so many of my memories can point back to football. Going to the Ukraine, meeting my current fiancée for the first time on a supporters bus going to a game, going to Seville (okay, we lost, but Scottish teams don't get to European finals much and for us it was a something we hadn't done since long before I was born). So yeah, there's been so many highlights. I think the best way to put it is that I've achieved what I set out to do. I had three goals at the start of a decade - graduate and go on to get a job, move out and into my own place, and find someone I can share my life with. Tick, tick and tick. I really should set more goals at some point though.

Best film - Revenge of the Sith. We waited years for it, we had to endure to two movies that came before it, but when we finally got that "this is how Darth Vader was born" movie I really don't think it disappointed. It was brilliant and I think lives up to the other three movies very well. I'd kinda like Lucas to do the final three, but only if they were as good as Revenge of the Sith. Another Phantom Menace and he should just be shot. (Okay, harsh, but he should at least be stopped)

Best song - U2 - Beautiful Day. Right at the start of the decade, but it's one of those songs that always perks me up. Best album - Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends - Coldplay. I listen to it a hell of a lot even now, and someone pointed out to me it's been out almost two years recently. REALLY?! I still haven't tired of it. That never happens with me. Prospekt's March really did add to it too.

Biggest event of the decade - for me, see above. In the world? The September 11th attacks. Yes, a lot more people died in the boxing day tsunami, but those attacks shaped a religious war that's still going on now. And depending on how that ends, the death toll could end up being a lot more. Lets hope not.

The next decade? Well I've a 2011 wedding to look forward to. I'd quite like to see Scotland at another World Cup too, but that's probably asking too much. If they do make it, I want to be there though. I went in 2006 to see Poland and although I'm part Polish it just wasn't the same. Probably didn't help they were already out by the final group match that I went to see though! Other than that, I dunno. Like I said earlier, I've not really set any goals!

I s'pose my personal highlight would be graduating from my MA - something I worked very hard and struggled financially for. I met my former fiance, got engaged to him and split from him all within the last decade, so it was all very up and down. Also having my sterilisation was something really important to me that I'm happy I did. In the next 10yrs I guess I'd like to meet someone and settle down at some point - I don't feel ready yet, but maybe in 5yrs time - and get on a PhD. I don't like to set goals really - I just go with the flow - but I'm not really enjoying my job anymore, so doing something I do enjoy would be nice. And continuing to add to my tattoo collection of course.

Favourite film...er...I'm not a big film watcher, I'd much rather talk about tv - Lost! Lost has inspired me to be geekier than I ever was before. I never thought I'd get a tattoo related to a tv show, but I still love it. When I think about the end of Lost next year I actually feel a bit nervous. I know, I know. But my favourite films of the decade would include Donnie Darko and Little Miss Sunshine.

Favourite album is a difficult one too cos I don't listen to that much current music. I'd probably say Through The Ashes Of Empires by Machine Head or Blast Tyrant by Clutch. Also I love Drunk Enough To Dance and A Hangover You Don't Deserve by Bowling For Soup. And an honourable mention must go to Chinese Democracy, just for making it out!

I'd have to agree with the others than 9/11 was probably the biggest event of the decade - certainly the one with the biggest worldwide impact - but the election of President Obama, the abduction of Madeline McCann and MJ's death also spring to mind. And as I've discussed in the "oh no they've died" thread, the murder of Dimebag Darrell Abbott had a huge impact on me and the community I feel part of.

Why would anyone care? Sorry Char not being arsey, it's just why? It's nice you are happy with Elmo though, hope it all goes well.

We got married on 30/12/99, so it's 10 years, 2 kids, nice house, income, part time job, smallholding, all from living in a rented one bed cottage when we got married, yeah the Naughties have been great for us.

Well why does anyone care about anything that anyone else posts on a forum? Maybe charlalottie is genuinely interested in what some of us have to say? And if you don't understand why anyone cares, why did you answer the question and tell us about your kids and smallholding anyway?

Ok, well a lot has happened in this decade (it took up a third of my life after all...), I suppose the main ones were finishing Uni, getting a job and starting my career, meeting Mrs Zoot and getting married last year.

Favourite film of the decade, Well I love the Super Hero movie 'craze' going on at the moment, and I loved Wall-e and Up, and Avatar, and the Lord of the Rings movies, and Hot Fuzz... so many!

Favourite song/album - well I don't listen to that much recent stuff to be honest, I like trudging up old obscure stuff (maybe that could be a new years resolution?) But I love both Velvet Revolver albums and Chinese Demcoracy and randomly I really liked the first Lily Allen album and Beth Rowley's album. Wasn't too fussed with Black Ice by AC/DC

Biggest event of the decade for me would be 9/11. And my wedding of course.

What's been your highlight of the decade?
-My highlight of the decade is one of two moments. First is meeting my girlfriend halfway through the decade. The other is Arsenal winning the Premier League unbeaten.
Favourite film of the decade?
- I know it might not be everyone's cup of tea but Gone In 60 Seconds was my favourite. Can watch it over and over again.
Favourite song/album of the decade?
- Favourite song is a tie between Lucky by Britney Spears and Golddigga by Kanye West. Favourite album of the decade is going to be Oops....I Did It Again!
Biggest event of the decade?
- Think as with most people, 9/11 was the biggest event of the decade.
