Yes, Chris and team work hard enough. 8 weeks holiday annoys you does it? At my company (architects firm) we all get 25 days anual leave, plus employers factor in a loss due to sickness, usually 10 days per year. Add to that bank holidays and it totals over 7 weeks non productivity per employee every year. So, Chris taking 8 weeks, A WHOLE EXTRA WEEK OVER US NORMO'S - Hardly ripping the arse out of it, is it? Add to this the fact Chris n Dave don't even get paid for any holiday they take - I think your argument lacks substance.

If you do not factor in the cost of sick leave / sick pay, as well as the need for cover in periods of absence through multi-skilling and succession planning, then you are running a business on borrowed time.
