Here's a quote from Music4

Music 4 is starting 2010 with a bang thanks to a number of new music commissions including the latest themes for The Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1 which go live on Monday the 11th of January.
Recorded at Abbey Road Studio 1 with a full orchestra and then mixed and mastered here at Music 4 Studios, this is one BIG sounding package! Check back Monday to listen to the results here at music4.com.

Looking forward to that! Pictures are on their website. Someone on unofficialmills said they could hear one of the jingles. How can you? Does anyone know how, as I can't see any available to listen to at the monemt. Anyway, not long to go until Monday, gonna set my alarm for 6:25 rather than 6:55 :lol: :lol: :lol:

The jingles are up on Music4, get them while they are hot.

http://www.music4.com/musicservices/cat ... -2010.html

Download them using these instructions from Console in this post - viewtopic.php?p=281507#p281507:

Console wrote: When you're on the Music4 website, you can put the following code in the address bar (and press enter) and then when you select something to listen to (like 'Morning Moyles - The Day Has Just Begun') it will give you a link to the mp3 instead of playing it:-

Code: Select alljavascript:handleResponse = function(){if(http.readyState == 4){var r = http.responseText;if(r.indexOf('|') != -1){u = r.split('|');for(i=0;i<u.length;i++){k=i;i++;t=u[i];if(t.indexOf('flashvars') != -1){t=t.replace(/\n/g,'').replace(/\r/g,'').replace(/.*file=/,'').replace(/&.*/,'');t='<a href="'+t+'">'+t+'</a>';}document.getElementById(trimString(u[k])).innerHTML = t;}}}};void(0);

NB: The above code should all be on one line and if you go to a different page on the Music4 website you'll need to re-enter the code.

Thanks Music4

They sound fantastic :D :D They make the old Big Rock sound quite poor by comparison

The new theme music does sound like the BBC children in need music, especially the morning movie - up to news bed. If you listen to the first 10 seconds or so of up to news bed and compare with the link below from 15 sec through to 30 sec the similarity is obvious to hear!

I agree with English Bob, the new jingles are too big, too loud, too intrusive.

I thought i liked them first off but after a while they just became really annoying and by the end of the first show i had started to develop a headache. I decided for that reason (and because N-dubz were on it) not to listen to Tuesday's show for the first time in almost 2 years.

I disagree with you there J.E.D., I really like the new set. I think they're the best package yet. What are you're thoughts? Do you think it's his best package yet? What is his best package?

Thirded.

I know it's the show's 'way' to be big and dominant (see 'quietly understated' opening song on the first breakfast show) but this is a bit too dramatic I think
